Has anyone had this test before that klinghardt developed?

I help vials of babs, bart etc adn then toxins while my LLMD tried to pull my other arm down to test strength. Weird how you can hold your arm up but not when I held a vial of cigarette smoke or other toxins...

All was ok when I held lyme, babs, bart, erc etc

More than 20 years ago, I had this done by a chiropractor. Not for Lyme, but to see if I needed supplements.

That was too wacky for me back then and I never went back to him.

Since then, I have had it done a few times by different people and agree it does seem to have an affect, depending on what you are holding.

It isn't something I have used for treatment though. My husband is an electrical engineer and would be horrified if he thought that was guiding treatment.

Lots of people here do use this for treatment, though, and think it works. If you search on muscle testing, you might find more help.

Thank Jk, it was just weird and my mind is not open to things like this. I felt like the lLMD was just pushing my arm harder when he gave me a toxin to hold. I watched him grab onto the desk to give himself extra leverage to push my arm down. yet when holding bart and babs he just tapped me. He told me this was Dr K's test that he developed and is used all the time.

This was the way my daughter was diagnosed with a systemic yeast infecticion. All other "labs" to find yeast came out negative. Treatment followed with absolutely amazing results. Moodiness, motion sickness, and debilitating fatigue disappeared after a Rx of Diflucan.

ART testing/muscle testing does appear to be wacky, but so were many other breakthrough medical practices at the beginning.

I would only trust a seasoned practitioner, however.

Yes, this was one reason why I left your md [Smile] Some people find it useful. I find it unsettling when it's pushed on a patient. It should be an option.

I've had this done for the first time at my last chiro appt and was given some homeopathic remedies.

About 6 months ago, at my dental appt, my dentist did some weird testing on me which reminded me of what we're talking about here.

I had asked to be evaluated for TMJ and said I was getting daily headaches. One of the tests the dentist did on me was to push my left arm down while just standing there and he was able to. But then he had me bite down on tongue depressers....first 1 then two. When biting on only one, he was able to push my arm down. When biting on two, he could not.

Another thing he did was have the dental assistant hold a posterboard for me to look at. One side was all black...the other side all white. He could push my arms down when looking at the black side, but not when I was looking at the white side. I thought this was odd but fascinating at the same time.

He said it was obvious to him that I was living in constant pain after doing the tests. There was more he did but I cannot recall them all. Apparently, it had something to do with primitive reflexes. He asked me if I was especially clumsy in the dark...which I am...and he said it was b/c I regressed back to certain primitive reflexes...or something like that. I'm going from memory and this was 6 months ago!

Anyway, when I had my testing done with the herbs and homeopathic remedies, my chiro pushed with the same amount of strength every time. When holding some things, he barely had to push and I couldn't resist. When I was able to show some resistance, he would push a little harder just to show me the difference in how easy verses how hard.

He even had me hold two small vials that had tics in them. When I was holding the vials, my arm was so easy to push down a child could have done it. When I was holding the homeos he ended up giving me to take, it was very difficult to push my arm down.

Anyway, both techniques...the one done by my dentist and the one done by my chiro are based on the same premise....that organ dysfunction in the body is correlated to muscle strength or weakness...or something like that.

Oh...and the chiro also used some sort of laser that he pointed on different parts of my body while doing all of this. Not exactly sure what that was all about but my guess is that he was shining the laser on specific body parts that corresponded?

When I got home and explained this all to my hubby, he said it sounded like vodoo! He laughed at me and said I may as well be throwing my money in the street. So...me being me...we did a little home test.

Now...I'm 5'2 100lbs and my hubby is 6'1 at 225 lbs so there is a big difference there in size! Anyway, I had him hold different foods and couldn't push his arm down but when I had him hold peanuts I could. He has an allergy to peanuts. Of course, now he just thinks it is all psychological. Could be I guess, but for now I'm gonna continue to see how everything plays out.

If you would have asked me a year ago if I put any faith in this sort of thing, I prolly would of laughed. But I have opened my mind up to trying new things as of late and have two friends who swear by this testing.

Sorry for the rambling! LOL! I just realized how much I wrote.

Your not rambling..you giving me faith and hope that my LLMD is really trying to help me and not taking me for a ride.

I need to open my mind to new things too. Not everything is meds and meds I guess. I was amazed that I was strong with all the lyme vials but not with cigarette smoke, or even one of those smelly markign pens, and mold. I cannot remember the rest of them.

My hubby was sitting there for the first time when he did this and was amazed. I actually did say your pushing my arm harder at times lol!

He smiled and said ok I will do it with one finger and he started over again. Same results. Who knows, maybe Dr K and Dr R both know something we dont?

One of my friends suggested a book for me to read. Told me it changed her life. I actually just started it and haven't made it very far yet! It is called "Anatomy of the Spirit: The Seven Stages of Power and Healing". She says it will help open my mind to exploring new ways of healing. We'll see.

I bought over 30 books now lol...my mind must be open. Let me know what you start reading it, I will surely buy it if you say it is interesting.

RIght now I am feel like I have been so duped by Dr R..my hubby just said that he told me I would still be on abx for at least a year yesterday? Why say remission but keep me on abx for another year? confused

Different practitioners use different forms of muscle testing.

My daughter's experience was with a hightly trained practioner of ART in WA state.

In contrast, a local dr. muscle tested me and reported that Lyme was not an issue for me. This was several years ago before I new what Lyme disease was. I left his practice and went to another dr. where I tested positive for LD.

My conclusion?
Not all muscle testing is created equal. My health went downhill and precious time was wasted after an inaccurate muscle testing reading. But my daughter's life totally chanaged after an accurate one.

Interviewing known patients of a practitioner is what helped us. I recommend the same.

annier, do you smoke? If you are in pain tobacco is full of heavy metals. My daughter took up smoking as a teenaage (I was furious but could not stop her) and she developed fibromyalgia.

She has an allergy to nickel which is in tobacco and this is what caused her to develop the pain. Her body also became much more sensitive to nickel - she had sores where her zipper, earrings or necklace touched.

When she quit smoking she got rid of the pain.

As for muscle testing, it has not worked for me. I have paid to have it done on myself and my horses and it was dead wrong. It was not just in left field, it never entered the stadium.

I was given a supplements containing something I am allergic too. An acquaintance recommended the chiropractor to me. Her husband died of ALS and no one tested him for lyme saying it is not in Montana. That was just a year before I was bitten and 3 years after an article was posted in a local newspaper saying it was here. Why didn't the chiropractor know?

The vets that did the muscle testing on my horses completely missed what was wrong. I was the go between and I thought my arm would fall off before they were done with their "testing".
I found out what was wrong with them myself, just like I found out I have lyme myself and I treat myself.

I would like to have confidence in it but I just don't. I have had my family test me using unmarked plastic bottles, all identical, to hold different ingredients. My eyes were closed just to be sure it was a "double blind study". Sugar and various poisons tested strong; great for me. Some things i know to be healthy tested bad. Did it over and over on different occasions - same results.

So I have been told I am just not a good "conductor". I am a far out person. I have "witched" for water with some success. I study astrology and find it very accurate. But it is paying someone to pump my arm for a diagnosis that doesn't work. Maybe if it was free, I would not feel it is just a scam for desperate idiots like me.

Its a bit too wacky for me. I guess my llmd got training in it recently. I guess he is doing it on everyone now. I will tell him i am not interested at all. I certainly will not base my treatment on it. Sounds a little too "magical" to me

I agree Merrygirl...I could tell the difference in the amount of pressure my LLMD put on my arm to push it down when he wanted it to go down.
Beware
