So I finished treatment about a month ago... With my only symptoms being mild anxiety and this tension in my face that no abx ever touched...
Both seem to remain and I feel they are related... I still have my wisdom teeth and I know my teeth and jaw are not aligned my neck is constantly tight below my jaw and I pop it constantly throughout the day...
Is there anyway to fix this? Do you think having my wisdom teeth pulled would help

I wouldn't without a very good reason. There may be a problem called a cavitation that can develop.
You might find help from Oral System Balance therapy (pioneered by Dr. Farrand Robson in Tacoma, WA).

If you think your jaw is not aligned, I would see a chiropractor before doing anything so invasive as pulling teeth. Actually, even if you choose to pull teeth, I'd get the jaw adjusted before hand. Any adjustments the dentist needs to make to your bite would be lessened if your jaw is properly aligned. It might be worth a call to the chiro first to see if he does much jaw work. Some do more than others.

My biological dentist suggested a nnight guard for me to correct my jaw alignment. Just a thought - and much less invasive!

I had jaw issues and had my wisdom teeth removed two at a time. This week I need another back molar extracted since I was told not to have a root canal by my LLMD. I have lost all four back molars now due to the need for root canals on them which I could not have.
I have not had any issues with the extractions? But the pressure was released after my wisdom teeth were taken out. My teeth were overcrowded severely and the wisdoms were impacted and causing jaw problems.
I guess you have to weight the options and see which words best for you. What does your llmd say about having them removed?

Go the TMJ treatment first. Extracting wisdom teeth will not change how your bite is anterior and posterior.
With your jaw popping and hurting down your neck feeling like that, it's true TMJ problems.
You can get a splint and differnet non invasive treatments. A good Dentist trained in TMJ Disorders is who I would find in your city.

I would not get my wisdom teeth out. I have horrible tooth and face pain from lyme and company. I had my wisdom teeth out many years ago before Lyme. My LLMD thinks my pain may be from cavitations from wisdom teeth extraction. Basically taking out the wisdom teeth leaves a hole in your oral cavity where bacteria and parasites can grow.

I would not extract teeth unless it is a LAST RESORT. I had to have a wisdom tooth extracted this past March because it had an amalgam, and had decayed too far underneath, so it couldn't be filled with a composite, and, of course, I would not do a root canal.
Taking this tooth out has been my BIGGEST setback in as long as I can remember. Mysery. I found a wondering biological dentist who has done ozone injections to help deal with this cavitation, plus others. I felt great immediately afterward, but am backsliding again. I will be repeating the injections (from what I understand this is not uncommon). I just pray that it eventually FIXES my problem to I can move forward.
Proceed with great caution.

I am having a back molar taken out in an hour!!! It has a cavity close to the nerve and my dentist feels it will lead to pain and I cannot have a root canal so he said to get it out soon. Now you all have me scared to death here!!!! I had an upper one removed last year and no issues.
What kind of a setback can a tooth extraction cause if you keep it clean??

I have major Zinc deficiency. I think this has contributed heavily to my healing issues. I was looking through some old notes last week of a Dr. K lecture, and he said "be very careful about extractions with a zinc deficiency." Wish I knew this sooner. I think being depleted in zinc (and other important minerals) makes it hard for bone to re-generate.
annier - why not just have him fill it with a composite for now, and take it out when it becomes bothersome to you. (And, in the meantime, focus on bringing your minerals up to par) This is what I would do.

Jaw problem is from lyme, and it will be better after treatment. Keep your tooth.

Tammy...its too late. They pulled it and I just got home. The surgeon was insistent on root canal and said he never heard of lyme patients not being able to have root canals in his life. He then asked the chief surgeon and he agreed and laughed.
I was sitting their all numb from novacaine while he aske me to decide pull it or leave it till it hurts??? My regular dentist send me there and said to have it out before it causes major problems.
I was so confused. It is out now and I have a few stitches..all four back molars are out now so I guess my mouths is "even"!!! I do have one upper impacted wisdom tooth but I am not touching it until I get some major pain!!!
I have two small cavities that I will have filled next week sometime after I heal up and then I am done for a bit. I am now missing five teeth total (not including the 3 impacted wisdoms pulled as a teeanger!!)...gumby I am !!
