All of the books I've run into on Amazon were supporting the ILADS position. Are there any that support "the Dark Side"?
I'm just curious if their position is so weak that nobody would even be able to write a book to support them.

It's also interesting that the ILADS Lyme books on Amazon are getting raving reviews. I read the reviews before I buy the books, and I've never seen any reviews calling the information "quackery", or arguing in defense of the IDSA.
It seems very one-sided in defense of ILADS guidelines, yet somehow most doctors in the US are one-sided in the opposite direction. It's just a little strange to me.

Then again... their book would be very boring and of no interest to anyone .. virtually no one would find it interesting. (right??)

Here's some bad news pulled from a bad article, which shows that an IDSA book is in the works:
"FACT OR FICTION? The blood test for Lyme is unreliable
FICTION. Some people claim to have "chronic" Lyme disease even though the blood test commonly used to test for the disease found no evidence of infection. But the recommended "two-tier" testing regimen "ELISA testing" followed by "Western blot" testing - is extremely reliable. The sole exception involves patients within three to six weeks of infection, before the body has had a chance to produce antibodies to Lyme bacteria. That's the word from Dr. John J. Halperin, a professor of neurology and medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and the author of the forthcoming "Lyme Disease: An Evidence-based Approach.""

I wonder how many people would ever even read a book by Halperin... It would be cool if no one buys it. If it comes out on Amazon, we should all give it bad reviews.
