My son had a 3T MRI scan performed today. I will take the images with me to the doctor but I am curious if anyone has an image of a "Lyme brain" showing white matter or lesions that they could send to me. I am inpatient and I want to compare it to my son's images. I have them on CD.

Thank you!

Hi, I have 3 white matter lesions but my CDs are all w/ my Neurologist. I got scared and left them all with him when he told me I had brain tumors!! That was last May... so I guess I really should call to get them back. I had 3 MRIs done but I refused to look at the images!

Does you son have Neurolyme?

My son has primarily neurological symptoms manifesting in behavior, emotional instability and OCD. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity for my son to participate in a research project that consisted of a 3T MRI brain scan. We received 95 images on a CD (and he got paid). I hate it that I have no knowledge of what I am viewing. I can find many things that look questionable but I honestly have no idea what any of it means. I tend to obsess about everything that could possibly be wrong. Are you on treatment? What were your symptoms? Are you doing better. It is my understanding that in time, the lesions can be healed.

Our Dr. M. states that small superficial white matter lesions are common with lyme and do clear up with treatment. I think it was BCB that stated his lesions improved with treatment.

I have Neurolyme... was on oral meds for 12 months and Bicillin injections for 1 but did not work.

I'm now on Invanz IV and after 18 days I can feel the difference. I'm waiting to add more IV meds.

Symptoms, were headaches, dizziness, vertigo, floaters, hallucinations, peripheral neuropathy, buzzing in my ears, etc... most have subsided but the floaters and peripheral neuropathy. I am hoping we can reverse the damage so I can have my life back!

Here is a pic of my MRI of 6 months ago and the lesion that was found in my corpus callosum, which caused my doctors to aim towards an MS diagnosis. Hope this helps you.

I have 12 small white lesions. Does it matter size, no one seems concerned about it. Had the same amount last year.
