I got Lyme 20 yrs ago and recently I 'm sliding back. Here are my cd57 #' s
In range Reference
cd57+ 99 0-741 cells/ul

cd57+/cd3+ 28 0-468 cells/ul

cd57+/cd8+ 54 0-468 cells/ul

cd57+cd3- absolute #= 71 cells/ul

I 'm assuming that the number 99 is my cd57 number in reference to what Dr. Burrascano says when he says it should be greater than 200. But what are the other numbers? And if the reference goes to 741 is 200 still low? Thank you for any insight. Lets all get better!!!

Sorry the test results got squished when I posted them.

CD57+ 99 0-741 CELLS/UL

CD57+/CD3+ 28 0-468 CELLS/UL

CD57+/CD8 54 0-468 CELLS/UL

CD57+CD3-ABSOLUTE # = 71 CELLS/UL

What lab was used?
The cd57 is only done at labcorp. If it was done at another lab, its really measuring something different. Labcorp usually just gives you one number. (if I remember correctly)

Actually it's through Quest Diagnostics and thats why I'm confused because of the "extra" numbers!!! I thought that the WB was best done by Igenex and that CD57 was done accurately at reliable labs. Labcorp was not set up with my naturopath for my insurance so I figured if it was just cd57, than why not Quest. Should I redo?

Like I said its a completely different test. It measures different things.

I am not sure of specifically why, but only labcorp is doing the real cd57

It used to be we heard Quest didn't do the CD57. Now recently I hear they are, and some people are getting them. But, the couple/few I've seen from Quest, like yours, it's hard to be sure given the numbers on them. Perhaps the 99 is it, or perhaps they don't do the test. I really would recommend the Quest for decision-making at this point, it's just not clear what they're doing.

The CD3+ and the CD8+ are cytotoxic t-cells. The CD3- are NK cells. I'm not sure which numbers Labcorp uses but here are two links which may help you out. The wiki links just explains the Cluster of Differentiation.

This second link explains the sticker panel and may give you some insight as to how to read the test.

Philly78......You rock. Thank you so much for the clarity. I don't need to be spoon feed every bit of info, I just need a nudge and you did it. You shined the light down the path and now I 'm off down the trail!! Seems like the Stricker NK panel is becoming a standard panal that many pathology labs run. I saw my LLND recently, but we did not specifically discuss the Quest cd57 results (because she was more concerned with my viral load) and I 'm just trying to understand it. Thanks again. You know SOME things..........
