How is Coconut oil used benefiting patients with lyme?

The only use I've used it for is on toast and excellent for dry skin.

what else?? can it be used to help Yeast?

Yes, it definitely helps kill yeast.

Also it's good for energy because it's very easy to digest.

It's great in a smoothy and you can also use it in place of any cooking oil.

I don't like to say this to loud but I use it on hemorrhoids. My massage alternative knows everything to use it on so Sister Emma says.....she has a jar of coconut oil in everyroom in her house.

I need to find a list or get Sister Emma to jot down a list for me. She's so much fun and a very funny woman. I see her today at 5pm for body work.

I CAN'T WAIT. I need it badly.!!!!!!!!

It is a very healthy fat, and it is good to use for cooking. It is also anti-fungal. Sometimes I just eat a spoonful of it here and there because I love the taste of coconut!

I've also read that others actually use it as a moisturizer.

How much should I take to help kill yeast?

Posted by James1979 (Member # 31926) on :

Mindy, I think you can take as much as you can, as frequently as you can. It's also a good source of energy so that your body has strength to fight off the infections.

I don't think it's possible to overdose with coconut oil. You could use it to replace any other oils you are using for cooking/eating, although make sure you get enough other healthy oils like fish-oil so that you get enough Omega-3's.

I take coconut oil capsules because I don't like to eat it straight.

I use it in cooking. I make granola with it including ground flax for omega 3. I use it in pancakes using half almond flour to reduce glycemic index and making a "syrup" with blueberries - no sugar. Sometimes I make "candy" with it and unsweetened chocolate with enough honey or stevia to make very dark chocolate. I add a lot of nuts, and/or granola etc. This is one way of getting my fat intact for Mepron/Malarone. Or just melt some in oatmeal. There are lots of ways to use it.

If it helps yeast, you must not have a bad case of it. I've never seen ANY difference by ingesting coconut oil. I do use it though.

Getting ready to try it as a skin moisturizer.

I heard that it is also an anti-inflammatory?

Posted by map1131 (Member # 2022) on :

Might be why it helps using it as suppository....it is anti-inflammatory for me.

I've done rx strength creams and suppositories, worthless! Coconut oil rocks. I'm going to try it on my skin lesions and rashes.

It could work better than the darn steroid creams and another rx could bite the dust?

the high heat coconut oil i got (unrefined, I think Spectrum brand) doesn't taste very good.

Can i put it in an empty capsule to help with yeast and parasites along with parastroy?

Where do you get the Tropical traditions?

I got into coconut oil a couple years ago. I use it for anything I need oil in, frying food, on my skin, in smoothies, and "oil pulling" which is basically swishing it thru your teeth.
Basically the only fats I use are coconut oil and good butter. Why bother with any other? But because of the expense (coconut oil just doubled in price because... I forget why) i am thinking of getting some safflower oil for cooking and save the good stuff for bakery and skin and smoothies.

I'm using it now for the lesions that were only under my breasts, on both elbows and my feet for 5 years.....

have now spread to my entire body. They are on my face, neck, arms, legs, They hurt when they start forming under the skin.

When they pop out of the skin they are painful. Feel like they are on fire and itch big time. I'm now covering them with coconut oil to soothe them.

So between these rashes/lesions and bruising that are happening all over me......my immune system is in turmoil.

Lyme induced Lupus? Or is it another tick borne illness that I suspect I have that is in full blown immune overdrive?

I know Lupus is just a sx. Now to figure out the cause????????????????
