I know i will have to ask my insurance company, just trying to get a heads up so I don't get all hyped about getting this drug just to find out I can't afford it.

It's Tier 2 for us. $25 co-pay.

It was tier 3 for me. They also limited quantity. I had to get refills every 10 days.
My new BC/BS conversion doesn't cover it at all. Shows how much plans can vary.

35.00 co-pay here...and, it is the same co-pay price if your doctor rx'es 4 teaspoons per day instead of two. FYI. My dose was increased and I got 3 bottles instead of one and the co-pay was still 35.00-
through Blue Cross/ Blue Shield

There has got to be a cheaper way to get this. the cost is insanity.
If I upgrade my insurance and pay higher premiums that allows Mepron as a Tier 2 drug, would they even let me do that?

this is seriously depressing. how are we supposed to get well when it costs to much and there is no assistance.

I pay $100 co-pay for 2 tsp bid. If you order three months through CVS, it's $200 for three months.

thanks bailey I will keep that in mind. we don't have a CVS here though. Wonder if they would ship. Will investigate.

If you have a mail in prescription option in your BCBS plan, then that is the cheapest way to buy Mepron and other expensive drugs.
Have the prescription written for a 3 month supply and you pay one copay. My max copay is $75. Not bad for 3 months of Mepron.
The meds are shipped to you quickly and at no cost.
So, check your plan brochure.

This is a silly question in a way because every one will have a different drug plan under each insurer and under each HEALTH PLAN by each employer and policy.

30 dollar co pay for me per script no matter how many bottles and got that filled once a month no problems and felt very lucky to have it and all that I needed no questions asked and did that for 9 months .. and also no matter dosage I was on that did get quite high..
I sure liked mepron better than malarone and maybe it was because it was liquid. I heard people disolve their malarone for better absorption. I tried it and liked it..
