I have a question about antibiotics. I've been treated for Lyme since January, and there's been a few times where I've had to go off the antibiotics for a short period of time, due to being sick, and not keeping them down.

I usually get right back on within a matter of days. One week was the longest I think I've gone. But I notice that almost immediately within a day or two, I start getting old symptoms that come back, muscle spasms and twitching, increased pain, tingling and sharp knife like pains.

Does anyone know why this is? Do the antibiotics keep inflammation down? I guess I just don't understand how this whole thing works. I can't read alot because it hurts my eyes.

Ive don't have enough phone time with my doc to ask all these questions. Thanks.

As i understand, if your symptoms come back that quickly you are dealing with a coinfection, either bartonella or especially babesiosis. Lyme has a slightly longer life cycle than those two and it will take longer for symptoms to return.
