Hi guys! I am considering seeing a new LLMD but I first want to call the office and speak with the Dr. and try to get a feel as to if we are on the same page or not.

I am hoping to avoid a situation that I am in now where I got a new Dr. but didn't speak with her prior to seeing her and I really disagree with a lot of her treating protocol whatever you call it.

Anyway, I am wondering if anybody has a list of questions that are great for this situation? Or if you have good ideas for me of what to ask about. I desparately want to do this but my brain has been so foggy that I just have no idea of what to ask about for the most part.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions, Thanks!

I might also add that the Dr. I actually have an appointment with and am hoping to see is a Lyme expert. So I don't need questions like, what labs do you use, how do you feel about Lyme Disease, etc. I already KNOW he is on the up and up on all that stuff.

One question I would add that I do not see in Lymetoo's reference post, is whether he or she tailors treatment to the individual.

My LLMD has pointed out to me several times that this illness differs so much from person to person, that each person's response to treatment varies, we all have a different mix of coinfections, and how there's differences of opinion on treatment approach even within the "expert" lyme community.

Because of this, I would most want to know that this doctor will carefully evaluate me and my symptoms each time I see them and adjust the protocol accordingly, not by a cookie-cutter approach.

Thank you guys so much! That was exactly what I needed. I jumped started my thinking and maybe I'll be able to think of a few more questions tailored to my situation.

You guys are great! Thanks!
