Hi: I have been treating Lyme and Babesia and am now in my 3rd month of Flagyl and Clindomycin along with Buhner herbs for Lyme and Babs. I'm finally feeling a lot better. Brain fog/anxiety and depression have lifted. But my body seems to be seizing up. Lots of cramps in my feet and calves and muscle spasms in my stomach when doing yoga. At any time of day, if I curl my toes over, they will spasm. I also have started to have what seem to be hot flashes with sweats during the day that come out of nowhere(new symptom--not hormone related). My hunch is that this is Bart rearing its head--or something else. I take Mg but nothing seems to stop the worsening cramps. Could others weigh in on what might be causing the cramping? Any supplements advised. Thanks. Sue

Hi Sue, I'm glad you're beginning to feel better. The head issues are no fun ... actually, none of this is fun.
I've had burning feet and spasms/extreme tightness in my calves, too. My doctor said it was Bart.
I've been treating about 2 mo. with Rifampin & Mino and am beginning to feel some improvement.
Doc told me to take Magnesium and Epsom salt baths. I can't tell any difference with Mg but the baths do help me.
Hopefully you and your doctor will know what's best for you to heal quickly. God bless you.

whitmor hi, I had terrible foot and leg cramps, more than cramps really as my legs would completely seize up . agonising. llmd recommended magnesioum malate - had to be malate, and it worked. If I slack off taking the seizing comes back. Might be worth a try for you?

Any electrolyte imbalance or dehydration can cause cramping. So can copper toxicity.
Calcium, Magnesium, and Potassium are the most common needs for those with cramping issues.
Homeopathic Cuprum Met. can be helpful if the above electrolytes don't help.

Sore feet, burning feet, calf problems? Most likely welcome to Club Bart. Those are red flags.

Soap under the sheets? Got to be kidding.

Do you see red rashes around your knee cup , ankels and some over the legs after a hot shower ?
