Like what the heck it this? Does anyone else get this?
Out of nowhere I get this weird sort of power surge of andrenaline through my body (can be painful at times) followed by a full body sweat/hot flush.
Is this hormonal or something to do with a TBI? I know it could be one causing the other but I had been doing great for a while and then this came on. Any thoughts????? TG

I had that while I was treating with biaxin/mepron/artemisinin. Might be from babesia? It was quite unpleasant. It doesn't happen to me anymore.
Have you begun treatment?

Thanks skies. I have been in tx off and on for the past 7 years. I got to about 95% last year, pulsed and then we stopped tx about 5 months ago.
Was doing well then this came on.
My main abx.s were Biaxin and Doxy w/ ART. My LLMD did not think I had babesia but I always thought I did cuz I would herx on the ART. Had mostly neuro. symptoms with lots of sweating as well.
Maybe the babs is coming back. I have a good supply of Biaxin and ART that I could jump back on again..I am just so not wanting it to be a TBI and looking for any other possibilities.
Thanks for your reply!

Adrenal fatigue!!!! That is typical surges or crashes...TBIs can really do a number on adrenals...go to Dr. Lam's website and read on how to help adrenals naturally.

Completely agree with adrenal exhaustion. And Dr Lam's site is a great source. (Dr Lam himself overcame adrenals and understands the role bacterias play on them)

I agree with adrenals/thyroid.. get some support.. preferably not cortef.
There is an active thread about adrenal supps now.

It could be from adrenal problems, too. However, I noticed this type of response upon increasing my Artemisinin dose and during herxing.
My adrenals are a little out of whack, but I am no longer having episodes of that nature. I always associated it with herxing (for me, anyway).

Very interesting about the adrenals..It happens alot at night and wakes me up. When I had active infection in the past my adrenals were a mess and I used support for them.
Cortisol messed me up BIG time but natural stuff really helped.
skies; I noticed the same thing with my ART. I increased it yesterday and took an extra dose before bed and had a rough night with these surgers/sweats - all night long. About an hour after my ART/abx. dose this morning I had the same reaction.
I tend to think of if as symbiotic relationship between the two; lyme/co. and it's effect on my adrenals... Thanks for the great feedback.

I have this, but have it whether I take Art or not, so in my case do not feel it's related. I'm thinking it's Bart as I had it before treatment for lyme and Babs and during. I don't think it's adrenals, as mine may not be stellar, but they've been worse in years past without this symptom. I'm going to ask my doctor for Levaquin next time I see him to see if they go away--which will indicate that it is indeed Bart causing the problem. Were you ever threated for Bart?

Thanks whitmore..No I was never treated for Bart.
I am seeing a new LLMD/NL in a couple of weeks because my previous swore I did not have any co.'s yet I have many symptoms. I am going downhill again and need a fresh set of eyes.
For now I am on Biaxin, Mino and ART plus supp.s and herbals.
I do not live far from you so am in a co-infection hot zone as well - like how could I NOT have one.
In the past when I took Levaquin for a sinus infection I felt like I had a major herx.
Best of luck with your treatment...

I agree with whitmore. I have these issues also. I get flushing and sweats. I had them reemerge after treating Babs and think its Bartonella coming to the surface. Bart can be very vascular related. I feel like my veins are full of gasoline and always feel very anxious. I can also feel my heart beating throughout my body esp. in my head and think thats Bart related due to the vascular implications.
