I hear a song during the day and it stays with me all day, and all night. I wake up to go to the bathroom (one of many times during the night), and the second I wake, it's like my brain wants to remember the tune and does. It's almost like I have no control. It's really getting annoying.

Acupuncture helps, but only for about 2 days. Does anyone else have this problem? Are you taking anything for it? I am wondering if I'm missing some type of mineral.

TOTALLY!!! I thought I was crazy and no one else had this. Every single morning or time I wake up from sleeping I have a song in my head. I don't even know when I heard it, theres always a random song playing out.

While treating Babesia this went away and now that babs is gone, my bartonella symptoms are back, along with the song thing. I think its Bart for me, I also have OCD that seems to come with this.

I'm so glad I'm not alone (thanks Jamers).

I'm being treated for babs and am getting better. I suspect I may have bart too.

I have this and so does my husband who does not have Lyme.

I have heard other people without Lyme commenting that they cant get a song out of their heads.

I think it is a fairly common thing and wouldnt necessarily relate it to Lyme and co. Who knows??

I would think it's a mild form of OCD.

Here you go Mindy what you have is called Musical hallucinations. Common with people with LD and even more common they say if you have a low CD57 count. I have had it since 2006. Though it has gotten better the last few years. It sucks when you have a tune going on in a marbled brain that you hate anyways. Try not to fight it.

I have this too and many times I don't even like the song!!!! And I love music!! LOL! It also reminds me of obsessing about an argument or conflict with co workers, family. Sometimes I just can't turn off the replay button in my brain. Even if I 'm trying to sleep. This is crazy and I 'm just throwing ideas around but...... makes me think of liver toxicity. I have heard ND's talk about emotions and the liver and ........ the replay mechanisms for me seem connected to the liver. Mindy159- I hope you soon can make the music stop, and start when wanted!

I have this pretty often.. I may be wrong, but I always thought that maybe it has to do with toxins. It seems to get worse if I am feeling particularly toxic or if I'm herxing from something.

I have to say, it's really odd! I don't care for it.

OMG I HAVE THIS TOOO!!! The first thing I wake up in the morning and I am in the shower boom a song. It was really intense at first but not as frequent now. I have babs lyme myco and bart...

I sure hope we are not hearing the same song...
Right now I have some stupid jingle from a commercial.

It is nice to know we are not alone with this weird symptom. Reminds me of the saying:

Misery loves company

Is this a Bart thing?

Not only do I always have a song in my head(which is getting much better since treatment)

I used to wake up and actually hear songs that I have never heard before. I thought my fillings were transmitting radio frequencies. [Smile]

I can laugh now, but jeesh thought the mainstream doctor who told me to see a psychiatrist was on to something..

I've been told that "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow" from Annie is a universal eraser song. It will replace the song in your head and not get stuck itself.

(Try it at your own risk.)

That is a very dangerous therapy to try. But I am so glad you didn't mention... Candyman (Sammy Davis jr)

Songs I haven't been able to get out of my head:

Raindrops keep falling on my head
Song sung blue
I'm gonna wash that man right outa my hair
We shall overcome
If I had a hammer

Well, there are worse afflictions than listening to constant music inside!

Hm - what shall we do about this?

I'm gonna wash that song right outa my mind (3x)
And send it on its way!

This OCD symptom for me was parasites.

When I started humaworm for first time a year ago - the music halluciinations were SO distinct.

Could not get songs out of my head.

It reminded me of a Seinfeld episode where Costanza can't get that song out of his head.

"Master of the house, dolling out the charm, ready with a handshake and an open palm..."

[dizzy]

Ha ha (canefan). I love Seinfeld.

I told my doctor about songs being stuck in my head yesterday and he just laughed.

I did listen to some slower songs yesterday. Seemed to help. Now I just have the slow songs in my head instead of the fast ones.

Canefan, how long were you on humaworm before the tunes left your head?

Maybe it's the vitamin C (powdered)? I've heard parasites hate vit C (I forgot to take it yesterday and the tunes weren't as bad yesterday.

feel better how did you get rid of it?

I have this big time and it has not improved with 2 1/2 years treating lyme and bart.
The very worst for me is Rocky Racoon by the Beatles.... gets stuck in my head for days.

Just complaining of how bad this is and has gotten for me today with my Mom who is also sick. Couldn"t believe it when I saw it on here...but yet at this point nothing surprises me anymore.

I wonder why...and what...I am thinking its more a mild form of ocd I also have random thoughts racing in my mind

Treat parasites folks. They control much of the thought process.

If you grind your teeth a lot too think parasites.

Most OCD symptoms for me were parasites & metals.
