Can a mammogran and a bone density exam cause a herx? I had both this past wednesday and seem to be in either a flare of herx. Anyone have any abstracts of experience with this subject on any forms of bacteria? Thanks

I don't have any experience with this but it's very interesting that you had a flare or herx. What were your symptoms?

I don't have any abstracts and actually haven't yet had a mammogram. However, in my experience and from what I have read of others' experiences, any procedure could cause a herx.
Some may disagree, but putting the body through trauma, even a mammogram, can put it through a herx. I have found that I herx after things that I wouldn't think would effect me...like a dentist appointment. CB

I have a mammogram every year, and have had bone density scans done.
I never have had a herx from them.
It could be a stress related herx come on, if you were stressed about them.
Or it could be that you were 'due' for one and the timing was right around when you had the scans.
Females have herxes monthly... and you can have them every 7 days or so too. Keep a calendar of when you had the herx and when you have it again, and you will see a pattern.
Any stress on the body, dr. visits, dental visits..etc... will and can bring on a herx feeling.
