Lately I have been especially achey and stiff in my back, lower back, neck, etc. Ridiculous, I'm 27.

What is the scientific reason behind this symptom for lyme?

I am not treating lyme right now, I'm treating Babesia (A-Bab) and Parasites (Parastroy).

With all the symptoms that overlap each other, just trying to sift through theories to see if one strikes a cord with me.

Is it die-off? inflammation? (if so, what causes it?)

Thanks.

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, I wish I knew.

But, what is parastroy?

Parastroy is one of the more effective herbal treatments for parasites. It's pretty cost effective as well.

There are some other good herbal parasite treatments I've heard (that I haven't tried yet). I combine Parastroy with Salt/C protocol. It gave a lot of die-off symptoms when I first started, more than Albendazole.

I tested positive for Trichinella, just trying to stay consistently treating parasites throughout lyme/babs/bart treatment.

Sounds like Lyme symptoms to me, just what you said, inflammation, die off. Immune response is what causes it. Hope you feel better.

thank you RC

Scorpio --- is Artemisinin treating your lyme or a co-infection?

THis was the 50 million dollar question for me for years...I could not understand what was causing the severe stiffness and achiness...It felt like arthritis all over my body and my muscles along my spine were so tight...After trying a million different things to feel better, I finally deduced that the pain was actually neuropathy and was inflammation from an overactive immune system...Sublingual B12 for the neuropathy and higher doses of Vitamin D have helped me tremendously but it took several months to feel better....Also, if you start dosing B12, you must up your potassium intake....

I was given Art for Bab which I didn't even know I have (tested negative) but herxing pretty badly on it so I guess my LLMD is right on!

By killing parasites, you are releasing toxic metals which they are or were holding in their coat. That is why parasite treatment should always be accompanied with heavy metal detox.
Since the heavy metals cause the fungi, that needs to be treated also.

Look up my post on the Babuschka Principle - how they all live within each other. http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/1/101357? If you are treating anything, you are treating a whole ecosystem and you will feel the results. I found lead (pb) to be quite painful when it is on the move. Just make sure you it finds its way out by using binders (chlorella, microsilica, curcumin with some sprinkle of black pepper - all help.)

Take care.

Bugg I am on (and have good levels of) vitamin B. My D is low but I have been supplementing that for months, I recheck D levels in a week or so.

Confusing to think that doc's i've spoke to say I have an immune deficiency, yet it's over-active?

Thanks scorpio, I'll check about Art for treating Babs. I am on 11 drops of A-Bab and think I am herxing.

Thanks again GiGi, all of your posts make sense. I thought I was doing a good job of binding, but maybe I should add chlorella to the mix in between meals. I'm just on sooo many supplements.

Hi Fyrecracker-

I wish I had an answer to help ease your pain. Just for future information, if you are not taking the B12 sublingually you may not be absorbing it. However, since you say your levels look good then I assume you are. However, I want to be clear about the point I was making in that I used B12 even with normal serum levels to HELP MY NEUROPATHY. Different people use different things to help with their neuropathic pain....that was just what I chose...

I think it's critically important to have normal to above normal Vitamin D levels (upper end of the normal range)...It's so important for a healthy immune system...

I just really feel it's important to give our bodies a healthy dose of vitamins, minerals, and protein...Please keep in mind that some of the medications you are taking may be depleting certain nutrients your body needs....

I hope you find relief soon...

Yes I supplement with the sublingual form and I continue to even if my labs look good.

I'm sure I can find it if i look, but what is the "NORM" for healthy vitamin D levels? I think i was at "40" last time.

Thanks Bugg

The Biomat (infrared mat) resolved this symptom for me, probably because it reduces inflammation, strengthens the immune system, improves circulation and blood flow, detoxifies and balances the body's ph levels.

Its an expensive medical device my llmd recommended.
You can email me at [email protected] if you like.

Thanks Dolphin,

I have a FIR mat and dome (Sunlighten) I use, but it doesn't make it go away forever. I'd have to use it pretty much every day to get consistent relief.

Plus, I think the high temps cause lyme herxing, so its a catch 22 at times whether I can handle the die-off it creates.

I can get a good 20 min sweat going on at around 150-160 degrees.

Maybe you're talking of a different product?
