I was not told to take any B Vitamins as part of my supplements, but think I may.

Do any of you take them and if so what and the brand?

Thanks

Yes! People with lyme are deficient big-time in B12. I take Nature's Bounty sublingual Multi-B Complex (ordered it from Amazon)and Twin-Labs B12 dots(any health food store). If I miss a day, I get brown patches in the hollow area between my eyes & my nose so I know that I definitely need to supplement.

I too take Vitamin B. I know that many even do the B-12 shots.

I know there are different camps on the vitamins. Some LLMD's don't want you taking any since they feel you feed the lyme. The other camp says that since the lyme is taking away all of your bodies, it is hard for you to fight the illness when you are lacking these vitamins so you need to keep them built up.

My LLMD is in the camp that you need to be built up to fight this illness. I think we all have to do what works best for us, since there doesn't seem to be one common factor that has all of us getting better. We each have our own unique strains and it's a lot of experimenting on what makes us feel best. Good luck.

I use Solaray. I just read yesterday that if you're losing hair you might benefit from B vitamins. It was a light bulb moment for me.

I began losing hair after being in the hospital in May. I blamed it on the chemicals and radiation used in the heart stress test. (still could be)

Well, at the same time, I had stopped taking the B's .. thinking they might be causing some of my stomach pain.

So ... back to my B's today!!! Hope it works!!

Yes, I take Thorne brand Basic B Complex and an additional 5,000mcg sublingual methyl B12. These vitamins are very important.

Just got back from the Vitamin Shoppe and bought a B Complex bottle.

My only concern is I really don't need the energy or any additional weight loss.

I am already a type "A" person and do everything fast-walk, talk-lol.

I also am hungry all the time and cannot seem to gain any weight even upping my calories.

I'll give them a try and see what happens.

Thanks for the advice.

YES!!!! They are critical for brain and nerve function. My elderly mom had severe nerve and muscle loss and her famous neurologist quickly put her on B 12 shots , a B vitamin , and extra folic acid . She became clearer with her thinking , and steadier on her feet .
Everyone should take a B vitamin.
