I know that vsl3 has capsules but i would rather have a powder with my digestive issues, also with the amount I consume daily the capsules would be way more expensive than the expensive packets...
so does anyone know anything as the same quality as vsl3 packets?
my bad reaction to the sulfur homeopathic made me more reactive . not only is my mcs worse but i have become intolerant and react to more foods including corn which was safe before the sulfur,,
vsl3 has corn starch so i have to find a replacement.

Do you have insurance?
You might be able to have your doc write you a Rx for "double strength VSL" - which is the only way to get it in Rx form. It is cheaper in the long run because you are only taking half a packet.
If you have insurance, you would only be responsible for the copay.
You could also ask your doc to write the Rx for twice as much as you need. The copay is the same, no matter the quantity.

Metagenics carries some good probiotics in powder form. (Scroll down the page to check out all their products, they have at least 4 different powder probiotics)
I use their pills (50 to 80 B depending on the type) and I have multiple issues (gluten, egg, dairy, corn, etc.)

I've only eyed products from this retailer, but haven't used them.
They have a variety of strains in powder form.
I didn't find anything listed by them related to corn therefore you might need to contact them.
I use Custom Probiotics - powder. One tiny scoop has something like 224 billion. Dairy free and corn free.
I know a few others on the boards who use Custom Pro.'s as well. I have dairy and corn allergies and have no issues with this brand.

The VSL double strength has no corn starch listed
only maltose silicon dioxide

I think a lot of probiotics have some form of sugar in there because it helps the probiotics to live longer (since the probiotics feed on sugar).
That's just a rough theory that I've always held, but it's unproven.

According to my list of corn allergens that my Allergist gave me Maltose is a derivative of corn.
