http://www.drthrasher.org/index.html

I have treated lyme and co's for quite sometime without any measurable progress...decided to persue another path since my HLA results were the 'dreaded' genotypes.

I have had my urine and clothing checked for mycotoxins by Dr. Wm. Croft out of Wisconsin (does testing by mail). I came up with moderate levels of mycotoxins in my urine and even higher levels in a garment that I had sent, indicating that mold is present 'somewhere' in my home.

Today I had a (controversial to some) ASYRA test done and again, my number one stressor came up as : Mycotoxin Signatures, specifically satratoxin G & H. These mycotoxins are produced by STACHYBOTRYS, or BLACK MOLD...the most lethal of all molds.

I am always careful as to which tree I am barking up, but with these 3 results that I listed, I think it is time that I take mold very seriously....symptom overlap with TBI's abound.

Interestingly, my second highest stressor on ASYRA was a bacteria called: Burkholderia Mallei- which gives rise to respritory sx and mucous discharge..all of which I have.

Major problems in the sympathetic/parasympathetic nervous system as well. For me, the ASYRA results confirmed mold issues and gave me insight to other potential problems.

My take is that the ASYRA testing can be a valuable tool.

Hi,
Great info,thanks for posting.

I hope this helps in your recovery.

Do you have info for the ASYRA test. How and where to have it done? I have not read your above link in depth yet.

So sorry if I am asking for info in the link.

Best of luck to you.

feelfit, I've been thinking of you and wondering how you've been!

Im sorry to hear that you have something else to deal with on top of Lyme and Co's. But now that you know and can treat it, maybe this will be the key for you to finally get better.

Hugs [Smile]

Feelfit, is the testing with Dr. Croft expensive and do you have to be his patient? That sounds like something I would be interested in. Hope your newfound information will help you in your journey to wellness!

Dr Croft is a pathologist/toxicologist. He does not treat patients but he does testing, 3 kinds.

He will test a piece of white clothing for mycotoxins, preferably a t-shirt or bra that you wore in the home or building suspected to be contaminated

He will test urine for mycotoxins

He will test a 5ml biopsy from your lower leg... but you have to get a dermatologist to agree to do the biopsy and package it in formaldehyde for shipping.

The biopsy test gives the most information... like how long you have been exposed

The urine test and the clothing test are pretty much the same.

I think they are all around $300 each. PM me if you want Dr. Croft's info. I have phone #'s, facebook page and address.

Very interesting Feelfit. I hope this is the path to improvement for you. I would bet serious cash I'm in the same boat. I KNOW there is something here killing me slowly, but I can't identify it. It's like my head is in a cloud/vice 90% of my time here. I can't think straight like I used to. My eyes/nose never stop pouring. This can't be all mental. It's got me strangled. [Frown]

Who did that ASYRA testing and what was the cost? Are you back 'home' now?

Best of luck.

[hi] Sammy!I have been thinking of you, too. I hope that your new therapy is going well and that you found a local Immunologist to work with you!!

@Jane2904- Google ASYRA practitioners in the Mass. area. That is what I did. Testing is not that much and for me, the insight may be invaluable.

@gigimac- As momlyme has said, Dr. Croft tests by samples sent via mail. The urine test is 250.00. Garment testing is 300. I did not do the skin biopsy. Thank you for the good wishes-

Momlyme- could you PM me the facebook page?

@Seekhelp...the ASYRA testing was done near you, PM'ing info.

Best to All!
