Morning all,
Just wanted to say that I'm doing great and after meeting a wonderful llmd has me almost in remission. In fact her words at our last apt was "almost done".

My advice to all of you is to follow doctors orders, rest, exercise, and take meds, supplements.

I do have to say that TF was so right when she said the "doctor is the key" to beating this.

I was bitten in 2009 and got treatment within six months. but during that time like most of you saw many doctors with no diagnosis. In fact at the end before being diagnosed,,,was told you should see a psychiatrist. Yeah,,right. Of course I was anxious not knowing what was wrong. Who wouldn't be.

Just be patient. I know that's easy to say when you have so many bugs in your body and feel like crap. Been there too.

Take care and if you need any encouragement,,let me know. I've gotten a lot here myself. [Big Grin] [Smile]

Congratualtions Janice so nice to hear. Are you with the same doctor I see? I am afraid I am a little ways behind you got side tracked with c difficile for the last 5 five months probably from the regimen from my former LLmd which did not include s boulardi. I also didn't knwo about this website then either....I am takign her supps and s boulardi and mepron but can't do the ABX right now-too fragile for my intestines. I am so glad for you. I heard that some doctors treat for another two-three months after all symptoms disappear just to be sure. Best of luck and blessings to you.

I think the change in the doc made all the difference. Someone who has been treating lyme for a long time is the key. Also compliance makes a huge difference.

I am still on rif but its knocking out what's left of the bart. The herx from it was tough at first but now just here and there.

Yes, I heard to make sure to treat two-three months after symptom free.

I agree that an experienced LLMD is the key. So happy you are doing well....now it's back to living again [woohoo] !

I assume the Rif you're on is Rifampin. I'm also "almost better", but have had a difficult time handling Rifampin. I had headaches and flu-like symptoms, along with an achy arm. Did you have anything like this, and if so, was it a herx, or a reaction, or what? I can't seem to find anything that works to resolve these side-effects [dizzy] .

Finally went off the Rif after five weeks, but am wondering if I should start again, or try levaquin.

Baileypup,
yes, the above sounds like a herx. Rifampin is tough. I as well had flu like symptoms which is essentially a herx.

I'd stay on the rif if you can.

!!!!SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!

Good LLMD is the key of the healing.

I am looking forward to the day I can say I am doing great.

And yes our friend TF was the one who helped me a lot with just one phone conversation. I learned from her what to look in choosing a good LLMD.

God Bless!!!

Congratulations Janice!!! What a relief to be back in the land of the living!

I believe we see the same LLMD. Im on Rif. too but only on my second month. Treated Babesia. Have you taken a cyst buster? If so, which one?

I remember you using A-Bart, but since you are on Rif. Im guessing that didn't completely knock it out for you. Im supposed to take that when my herxing calms down.

Thanks for the encouraging news. I am very happy for you. Do you have any symptoms left or are you symptom free and just giving it a couple more months to be sure?
