So, in addition to all the other illnesses everyone in this house has, the frickin' cat is peeing in the sinks again. He also has a runny eye.

I was unavailable last night so I sent dear kitty to the vets with husband. I strongly suggested that he tell the vet to treat the cat for bartonella since we humans have it at the house. (This is the cat that bit and scratched one of my kids last year, when all her symptoms started.)

The vet wouldn't give the cat any meds. Took blood instead. Grrrrr.

So...what treatment can I do for this cat without the vet's prescription? This cat is very nice but then can turn on you when it feels like it. He plays with the dogs so I am concerned he'll infect the dogs too.

Yes, 3 of us have elevated mycoplasma IGG's too. So, it's possible we either got this from the cat, a tick bite or on a plane. Who knows????

Find a new vet. My 2 Maine Coon cats were treated with doxy and then zithromax. Their blood test was negative but my vet knows they arent good.

Or perhaps order drugs online? You don't need an rx for pets.

Kitty tested positive for mycoplasma haemominutum. Is being put on azithromycin.

Could this be a missing piece of my puzzle? Gawd, I hope so.
