I wanted to share a success story with you!! I don't know that she's 100% better now, but she has made crazy great strides!

My DH works for a large company. This spring, he mentioned that a woman at work was sick. Then he heard that she had Bell's Palsy, and was bedridden.

Then he heard that she had Lyme, and was attempting to get IV abx. Her doctor wasn't giving it to her, but she was pushing for it, because she couldn't keep anything down.

So then he hears (apparantly there was a co-worker who was very talkative!!) that she can't eat because she can't control one side of her face!

Months pass... Then she's back at work! And DH gets to have a nice long chat with her.

She was tested for all sorts of things (no known tick bite). Her CHIROPRACTOR says "you've got Lyme" and here's what you need to do.

She saw an infectious disease specialist after she couldn't get IV abx from her first doctor. He says "you've already received treatment, you just need to get used to your new situation." At this point, she no longer had use of her arms. Her arms!!

But she was supposed to just live with this. I have no idea what research she did, but thankfully, she then went to see Dr J in DC - the one in Under Our Skin who treated the woman from Florida. He gave her strong cocktails of multiple IV abx and pulled her off gluten.

Again, I don't know whether she's done with treatment, or whether she's 100%, but she's gone from significant paralysis to working a full-time job and, you know, eating and using her arms.

A huge leap in my book!

I do believe this is why most of us hate Infectious Disease doctors!!! [rant] [cussing] Jerks!!!

I hope she makes a full recovery!!

Please add your story here:

Great to hear another success story. Would love to know more about the cocktails and the exact dosing and sequence.

I am on cocktails too, but seem to be getting worst and worst each week. Soon I will be bedridden too.

Lymein2010: Unfortunately, I have no idea. DH and her don't work together, and there's no way he could politely ask for that. I know Dr J is known to be quite aggressive, and I believe his website does give some information. I thin khe typically pulses the doses.

I hope things turn around for you soon!

Sorry, they do work for the same company, just not directly together. She's in a different division.

This is wonderful news!

I just wanted to add that CHIROPRACTORS can be a great resource. We have one in my county who is trained in Klinghardt, Jhang and other modalities.

Also, once I got diagnosed and shared "UOS" with my chiropractor he got very interested in Lyme and has since helped about 10-12 other people, including himself, get diagnosed.
