Hi, I posted a week or so ago about new symptoms I've been experiencing, blurred vision, sound sensitivity, dizzy, confused, dry mouth.
This has been happening for 3-4 weeks and i stopped meds for a 6 days to make sure it isn't a side effect.
I have never had head symptoms mostly issues with my body. My sister has diabetes and said it sounds like what she went through before being diagnosed.
Has this happened to anyone? I am getting scared about it and don't want to go to er and explain the whole lyme, meds thing.

- the symptoms you list may or may not be linked to glucose problems but diabetes can be the result of any number of infections, including lyme.
Still, it sounds more like adrenal and inner & middle ear system (called vestibular).
What you describe is VERY common for MANY lyme patients at various times before and even during treatment.
Anytime the vestibular system is affected, vision will also be affected. Sound sensitivity is called Hyperacusis and that is very common with lyme and with treatment as some medicines are rather hard on the inner / middle ears.
Be sure to let your LLMD know of these changes. you may need a change of Rx.
Minocycline and Zithromycin are two common abx that can contribute to the vestibular symptoms that can last long after the Rx is stopped.
But there are many other Rx and OTC products that also can cause problems with the ears and balance, some even for months afterward.
Are you doing good Liver Support supplements and actions? The toxicity of lyme & the die-off of Rx can also cause such symptoms. Liver support is essential.
Adrenal support & Fish oil? That, too, is very important for many things, including dry mouth.
Magnesium (and that fish oil) should help tone down they hyperacusis to some degree.
Have you had your blood sugar checked lately? You might ask your GP for an A1c test that will average your ranges for the past month.
But, if you know of anyone with a home glucose meter, you can do a few spot checks throughout the day. -

Thanks Keebler, I remember something similar happened to me on plaquinel (spl?) but when I stopped the symptoms cleared. I am surrently taking ceftin, septra and malrone.
I do pretty good with my supplements but did run out of some over the past 2 weeks and am waiting for office to send me refills.
I can't even get it together to go to the ER, instead just laying here feeling worse than ever.
