For anyone who can help..... Yesterday I had a migraine for over 24 hours! Nothing would take it away. Got up this morning and took two more excedrin and it finally went away. Ten hours later (now) I temporarily lost vision in my right eye (which is the side I had my migraine on). It started by seeing white flashies swirling around, and getting bigger until it covered the entire eye and I couldn't see out it anymore. Then after about 15 minutes, just went away! I panicked, and now I am just in shock. Trying to debate if I need to go into the ER or not. I am not dead yet, which is good. But unsure if this is what's called a silent migraine, or something else. I am in my twenties, so I can't imagine it's too serious? Thanks for any help.

It sounds different than your "regular" migraine, if there is such a thing.
The loss of sight would be concerning. If you continue to improve, that is good. If you have any more loss of sight,or shock...I would go.
Waiting to die is not a good marker of whether to go or not..

This sounds like an ocular migraine. (Google for info.)
I used to get this for twenty minutes, and then get a splitting one sided headache...a migraine.
For a while, I was getting only the ocular part, without the headaches. Heh, very difficult to drive when you have this.
The Emergency Room did not help when I had a migraine. I will not go to the ER unless I'm dying.

I am pretty sure that is what is is Carol in PA. I have NEVER had one in my life. It lasted about twenty minutes, then went away. Now my one-sided migraine is there. So very strange! And yes! I hate going to ER and don't wanna go unless I am dying; good thing I waited. Thanks

Magnesium deficiency can cause headaches and migraines. Are you taking a good magnesium supplement? And eating foods high in mag?
Start keeping track of the symptoms, as it's possible that they'll get worse over the next couple months. That's what happened to me. Your family doc can prescribe preventative medications and other meds to abort an attack.
Magnesium and fish oil do reduce migraines for me, but I got significant relief when I tried big doses of systemic enzymes.
Systemic enzymes reduce inflammation and reduce fibrin in the blood, and this increases bloodflow and oxygen to the brain. This also reduces muscle and joint pain for me.
Perhaps you'll be lucky and not get any more migraines.

the flashing lights sound like it might be the start of a retinal tear or vitreous gel separation.
lyme causes uviitis, i just went through this, and it resulted in such changes in shape in my eye (the inflammation and receding of the swelling) that my retina tore. i had vision loss in that eye for weeks due to it. luckily, i had the tear repaired the day it happened.
this can happen with age, but in my case and with your age it can happen with lyme.
i would report the eye pain and symptoms to LLMD and quickly get evaluated by a retinal specialist.
you may have to go through an opthomologist first. but you need a retinal specialist as they can fully check for a tear.
then treat the cause of the inflammation post haste. don't mess with this, it's not something to wait and see about.
if you have worsening of the flashing, any shadowing of vision, black lines or a "curtain", you need emergency room/emergency retinal surgeon to repair the tear and prevent permanant vision loss.
you may need an emergency eval now, just based on the symptoms you describe.

I have had swirling lights and weird flashes in my eye and then a headache. Diagnosed ocular migraine. This could be what you had. They are somewhat common.
However, it doesnt mean thats what happened to you.
If it happened again I would certainly get it checked out ASAP.
