hi everyone,..i have experienced vertigo and dizziness since i became infected over 10 yrs ago. lately, the vertigo is getting worse and worse, along with my gi symptoms.

i have been bedridden for a week, with vertigo numbness vomiting colitis and all kinds of other delights.

my question is, how do you not sink into despair with all this? i wont see a dr for weeks so i am on no meds. i literally cant eat, cant sleep, i find myself wishing i could just fade away, that there is no hope.

i have tried tons of supplements to try to ameliorate my symptoms, to no avail. i just dont know how to keep hanging on when literally nothing helps. i am sorry to vent, but i thank you so much for the opportunity of this forum to express ones questions and fears

thank you again and if anyone has any suggestions for symptom relief while i wait to see if llmd abx will help, i would appreciate it. love, jess

I'm sorry you are having so many problems. That is really really rough.

have you tried Meclizine for the vertigo?? It helps my husband when he gets it.

Your G.I. disturbances can come from intestinal parasites and also cause extreme vertigo. Antiparasitics such as Parastroy and salt/c got rid of a TON of parasites for me and saved my life.

You can google parasite symptoms, check out lymestrategies for the salt/c protocol. You can purchase the herbs inexpensively at vitacost. One month is not enough,

Hope this helps in some way, and sorry you are suffering so much.

So, so sorry to hear.

The ONLY thing that worked for me was clonazepam, 1mg, I didn't need much. Maybe your primary dr. can help you while waiting for the LLMD visit......

I've only had one spell after the initial spell in 2005, but it was so horrible that I keep the bottle in my purse at all times.

Good luck to you.....

Chastain, I had horrible vertigo. I can tell you that of all the things I tried, acupuncture helped the most.

I got vertigo and ataxia from babesia. I had to treat it before it got better, but the anti-malarial drugs made it worse before it cleared up. It is gone now.

Until you see a doctor I am not sure what will help you. Maybe one of the suggestions above. I hope you can get relief.

My vertigo has improved since supplementing B-12, treating lyme and babesia, and I take a homeopathic med specific for vertigo.

Good luck and I hope you find relief soon.

Vertigo is the pits. Until you can figure out the underlying cause, Bonine helps to alleviate the vertigo. The active ingredient is meclezine (same as in Antivert, which requires a doctors prescription). Bonine is the over-the-counter medicine for motion sickness. Hope it gives you relief.

Also, don't forget to have your home checked for mold..... on top of everything else.

Best to you,
Tammy

Chas

I am the same way, bedridden with vertigo. My doctor and lyme doctor gives me meclizine (or bonine over the counter) and xanax and it suppresses the vestibluar system and stops the vertigo so you can stand up again.

Some take valium and meclizine and it will do the same. Call your regular doctor for help until you see the llmd.

Vertigo causes GI upset also and cause severe anxiety and depression so please please call your GP and get something to hold you over.

I have suffered for 30 years with vertigo...feel like the vertigo expert...

Wow, something must be in the air. I haven't had this in 2 years. Came on me overnight. I wonder if an allergen from outside sets it off in us. Hang in there!
