I started IV Rocephin about 3 weeks ago. Week 1 and 2 was really rough, week 3 was better and noticed improved stamina.

LLMD just added IV Azithromycin to the mix yesterday and it knocked me on my butt. I had to call in sick today and normally I can push through it.

Neurological symptoms are worse (they seemed to be aggravated by the Rocephin as well) and I am completely zapped of energy.

Im also very nauseous which I know can be a side effect.

I already take Nexium and Probiotics, but I haven't felt this bad since when I was first diagnosed back in 2009.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I am trying to remain hopeful but feeling as I do and knowing that I really can't take that many sick days is starting to worry me.

I'm on IV zith but not too sick right now with infections. Tyring to beat babs. I did get sluggish and tired the first week right after the infusion and for the rest of the day but that is gone now. I think that was a herx.

Can you slow down the infusion to run longer? That helped with the nasuea for me.

So sorry you are feeling so bad. I can't say what is wrong with you, but maybe something here might help?

I do hope so!

Thanks Tincup. That was very helpful and reminded me of a question I wanted to ask my doctor when I see him next week.

The second dose of Zith was better, but any stamina boost that I felt from the Rocephin has yet to return.

I am on my third dose of zith now, and felt completely wiped for the first 30 minutes while infusing, but I am starting to pick up for the remaining 30 minutes.

I appreciate all the feedback. =)

Stick with that combo. That put me in remission three times. Obviously, I relapsed, but when you're back to feeling yourself, you'll take anytime ok. Hopefully your doc has a way to keep from relapsing often. Good luck.
