I have been advised to take a baby aspirin for blood thinning etc.
Wondering if serrapeptase could be used instead of an aspirin, as it is also used for inflammation and blood thinning ?
Does anyone know how much serrapeptase I would need to take in order for it to have the same effect as a baby aspirin?
I'm currently taking Nutramedix serrapeptase 100mg 2xday as per llmd, but I think this is a low dose.
According to Nutramedix a 100mg capsule of their product is approximately 10,000 IU but they didn't seem too sure about this.
Does anyone have any thoughts about this issue?

Serrapeptase and cistus incanus tea can be good. Green tea extract apparently is a real blood thinner too. I can't speak to doses, I think energy testing is much better than trying to duplicate an aspirin, as if one aspirin is some magic number for everybody.

If your cardiologist said to take an aspirin, then take it.
Serrapeptase works on fibrinogen, aspirin does not. So it depends upon what your doctor was aiming for.

Lymetoo thanks for your response.....MD recommended aspirin because I'm in the age bracket when most people take it and to prevent possible cardiovascular issues.
I also have the MTHFR gene that puts me at higher risk for blood clots etc.....so I want to take something that would give me the most benefit.
I thought that serrapeptase works in a similar way as an aspirin but with the added benefit of breaking down protein.....am I wrong?
Should I take serrapeptase as well as an aspirin?

I'm not sure about taking both... sounds good in theory. My stomach rebels against either one. Two would be impossible for me.
Hopefully, someone will know. Or just ask your LLMD.

I have used SerraGold from Enzymedica with good results over a couple different timeframes. I am currently not taking it.
The only place I have seen cistus incanus tea available is from Biopure and Nature Pure Nutrition (who sells Biopure products). Last I checked about a week ago they were out of stock.
Both of these are good for biofilm, and I think detoxamin is as well. When I took these 3 together for a period I got a lot of good action, including worms in stools for a while.
Yes, these are not really pure blood thinners, more that they work on dissolving biofilm.
Green tea extract is really more of a blood thinner, and there was at least one case reported on here recently of someone taking green tea extract along with an rx blood thinner and ran into real internal bleeding issues. It sounded like they weren't taking the green tea extract for its blood thinning properties, as it certainly has other things it does, so they were unaware they were double-doing it.

Is blood thinning a big issue with this illness;; I thought I read a post were a woman had something put in her heart by a very astute cadio... a few over looked it because Lyme was mentioned.
Something about blood going in thick on the right side but not enough oxygen when coming out left??????? ANYBODY
been having some twangs and pangs going on , but nobody seems to put attention to it.

The parasites and biofilm can make the blood very thick. This can cause very poor circulation leading to symptoms, even neurological symptoms when the poor circulation affects brain blood flow (read up on CCSVI, perhaps start with wiki). It can also make it harder for your immune system and oxygen to get to and kill the bugs.

- I understand the hesitancy in taking aspirin. A good friend of mine followed the advice from his doctor of one baby aspirin a day.
He was in a coma for days - and came very close to dying - from a bleeding stomach caused by the aspirin. He asks all of us to let others know about this risk. He is not the only one.
As lyme (and all that goes with it) compromises the lining of the stomach, I'm thinking a lyme patient may be at greater risk for bleeding stomach issues from aspirin use.
There are many safer ways to achieve the desired results. You might consider finding a holistic doctor for individualized advice.

If blood thinning is your goal, it'll do the same thing. If the doctor had a different goal or a "collective" goal of targeting other future issues, then take the aspirin. Aspirin in small amounts has been proven in countless studies to be beneficial as a preventative agent in a lot of conditions. Heart and circulatory problems just happens to be the most well known.
One more important note. Beware that Serrapeptase can cause blood thinning that can lead to the same consequences as aspirin in people who either take too much, or who are overly sensitive to smaller doses of blood thinners. The consequence is bleeding out, literally -- sometimes internally without the abdominal cavity, brain, or even from the bowel-thru the rectum.
Bottline: Serr and Aspirin can have the same exact consequence.
