I just had my cd57 test done again, lst one last year was 16, now it is 22., not too happy. I have been treating lyme and bart for almost six years on oral meds and cannot figure out why my numbers are not going up much. Lyme doc didn't put much emphasis on this test yesterday but I am worried about it. Shouldn't it be going up more thhan this? I heard that it should be around 100?
Any thoughts on this?

I know of a few LLMD's that don't even run this test.

I've had this test done 3 times and my results never went along with how I was feeling.

When I was feeling my best and had no symptoms at all - my number was the lowest it's ever been - it was in the 20's.

I think the most important question would be - how are you feeling?

I have been told the CD57 can fluctuate daily.

how accurate is this cd57 anyways, why do some llmd's believe in it alot and some don't. I do not understand this at all, why is mine never much higher than before even though I am treating my lyme and bart.

Some don't believe in it because the results can be all over the place, as momintx stated.

You can have a high reading and feel horrible or a low one and you're doing great. So it's not an end-all test.

My doc refuses to even do it. Says it doesn't mean squat.

I just got my CD 57 back. It is down to 57 from 120. What does that mean when it goes down that much? He also did a C4A level which I had never heard of. It is slightly elevated at 5303. I've done searches for both but I guess I'm having a hard time understanding what either of these mean.
