I recently have had my B12 tested, it is quit high at 1176.

I supplement with a B50 Complex once per day.

Should I be concerned with this high of a level?

What side effects have you experience with a high Vitamin B12 level?

I dont think any.. i used to unject b12 a.d my levels were very high. Your body takes what it needs then you pee out the rest

Mine was also high, and I don't supplement with Vit
B. I thought it might be a "good sign", since it's usually depleted with lyme.

it can be sign that your body can not utilize B12 well, it usually is some detox problem like with methylation issues

Yep ^^^^^^^^^^^^

Get a methylmalonic acid test and homocysteine level checked. Serum B12 tests mean squat in my opinion. It can be in your blood but not being converted into the active form and used by the cells.

I have read up methylation, now I am concerned.

My LLMD doesn't seem to be concerned by my high level.

Should I stop taking my B50 Complex?

Mine is sky high too..1,600+. Everytime it is. I don't understand either. Is the defective methylation idea just a guess or proven reality based on a high B-12 result?

My daughter also has really high B12 -- around 3000 if I remember right. It is presumed that her body doesn't metabolize the B12 correctly, maybe related to folate deficiency?? Dr. not very concerned. I just requested the MTHFR testing though.
