I had an HLA test and my doctor said this:

"Your genetic immune HLA type 04, is one of the genetic types that is associated with Lyme-triggered autoimmune illness. I usually draw pictures to explain this at the initial visit, so perhaps you have a drawing at home that relates to this. This means that there is a molecular shape on the surfaces of your own cells similar in shape to one of the molecules on the surface of the Lyme germ. When your own immune cells make protein antibiotics to attack Lyme, these proteins fit into the shapes on the Lyme germ like a puzzle piece. Because your own cells display similar shapes, the antibodies can mistakenly attach to your own cells and cause autoimmune inflammation. This process tends to cool off over time as the Lyme disease is treated. "

LDN was mentioned as a way to help it cool off.
Anybody hearing similar things? Burrascano never mentions this.

It also means that you can't detox Lyme or mold well if not at all depending on your full HLA DR type. Does he have you on prescription binders like CSM?
You can educate yourself more on this by reading "Surviving Mold" by Dr. Richie Shoemaker.
I read it and I gained a ton of insight about what I need to do to get better.
The book is like 20 bucks. Surviving mold.com. It is about biotoxin illness, which Lyme is one.
Best to you.

The only other thing my doctor said on my HLA results:

The second type, type 15, is unrelated to any shapes on the Lyme germ, and is not related to Lyme-triggered autoimmune illness.

So I wasn't sure how to take this news especially because I don't see this mentioned in Burrascano or in "The Lyme Solution".

I've watched some Shoemaker videos and wonder: Beside having the VCS test and treating with cholestyromine when positive are there other approaches if, say, VCS is negative or if your Dr doesn't want to prescribe CSM (like mine didn't).

I take a lot of over the counter binders I find activated charcoal is the one that works for me, I'm not a "4" but not too far from it.
When I started to take a lot of it I started to feel so much better. I was taking 7 500mg tabs at a time 2-3 hours away from abx, 2-3x a day.
When I first started doing this I felt a lot worse but then I started to feel so much better.
There is a lot of info in that book that will help you, it's not only about CSM and VCS testing.
I would get a copy of your test from your doc so that you can find out the rest of your code.
