Yeah, me, too. I need to research this. I wonder if HLA-literate members can tell me if they see "the dreaded gene" in my results.

My Dr told me this when I got my HLA results (I have the "dreaded gene" which is explained below)
I'd google some of those codes along with HLA and see if you find something useful.
Your genetic immune HLA type 04, is one of the genetic types that is associated with Lyme-triggered autoimmune illness. This means that there is a molecular shape on the surfaces of your own cells similar in shape to one of the molecules on the surface of the Lyme germ. When your own immune cells make protein antibiotics to attack Lyme, these proteins fit into the shapes on the Lyme germ like a puzzle piece. Because your own cells display similar shapes, the antibodies can mistakenly attach to your own cells and cause autoimmune inflammation. This process tends to cool off over time as the Lyme disease is treated.
The second type, type 15, is unrelated to any shapes on the Lyme germ, and is not related to Lyme-triggered autoimmune illness.

Okay here goes, I think your halplotypes are 07-03-53 and 15-6-51. I am no expert this is the first one I do for someone else. Maybe someone can double check it? I'm pretty sure it's right though. The " dreaded " are 4-3-53 and 11-3-52B. The codes say you are multisusecpible, and mold and Borrilia on the other. These are kind of like mine, I am about 85, 90% these days it takes us longer to get better. I've been in treatment for 15 months.
Mold can end up being a big part of your illness so keep that in mind.
If you buy the book Surviving Mold by Richie Shoemaker it will help you understand what all of this means for your health. Best to you. R

I also should add that I had Babesia and Bartonella, and I also had to do some mold remediation in my home. So every one is different, that is what I'm getting at here :-) R

I am 15-06-51. What does that indicate?
Thanks

Cherylsue, that means mold and Borrilia. R

Thanks.
I see that I am a DR "7" and "15". And DQ "3" and "6".
So I am not a DR "4" or "11"?
As in:
HLA DR4 and chronic Lyme HLA DR11 and can better recover from Lyme
(Marshall's reply has confused me - sorry).

You can decipher your test results by looking in the back of the book "Mold Warriors" at the Rosetta Stone.
Here is a link to what appears to be the same information
Not to confuse things further but there is a DR4 and DR2 that is associated with lyme arthritis. I've read in several places that is different than the DR4 associated with Dr. S's work. That said, I have never understood why and have found nothing that clarifies it.
Hows that for further confusing things? LOL

Cherylsue According to the Shoemaker 'Rosetta Stone', the 15 6 51 pattern makes you susceptible to Borrelia, post-Lyme syndrome, but NOT specifically to mold. I have the same gene pattern. Unless I'm reading it incorrectly--a real possibility these days... Sue

I have read the links and got the book. If the book explains DR4 then I cannot find it.
Dr. Shoemaker/Rosetta Stone has DR4=53. Is this for his purposes only?
DR4 has other uses than just being 53?
How many DR's can a person "be"?
DRB1*07 DRB1*15
and DRB4*01 DRB5*01
Somehow I think a person can only "be" two. The DR1 numbers.
But then why do the DRB's 4 and 5 extend out with more numbers/codes?
To further confuse (on second thought clarify) - one could have DRB1*04 (making them a 4) and DR4? As in 4-3-53.
