I just read tonight that Duncani doesn't produce night sweats, which I've never had and always found odd.

Curious what the other differences between the two species are if anyone knows.

I wonder where the POTS plays into this infection.

Gary, where did you read this? If it's in a certain book, maybe you should PM me?

I've never had severe symptoms and assumed it would be easy for me to get rid of it. Easy compared to others I mean. But I never had night sweats. Now I'm worried. Hmmm.

No night sweats for me either, but TERRIBLE head symptoms. I think Duncani is famous for head/neuro issues. [Frown] It's a bastard of an illness.

I have Duncani AND I have had night sweats. I have had a terrible time eradicating it. Now using Cryptolepis and am herxing, so hopeful this will do it.

I tested weak positive for Duncani and only have mild night sweats, mainly of my head and shoulders.

I may be incorrect on this one. I read it on here in 2 different posts. I posted this question afterwards on Facebook and got a bunch confirming this, but then a few with WA1 also said they did have night sweats, but only when they began to treat it.

I'm a little confused now. I first saw this in this post: http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/1/109068?#000004

It was posted by Nefferdum.

I had a HIGH titer for ducani-I had mild night sweats in the beginning, but not every night.

Once my babs sx got under control, my POTS went away.

Unfortunately, I didn't treat it hard enough, and I relapsed, and the POTS came back-going away with treatment.

Don't know which one I have. No night sweats until I started Byron White Formula for Babesia. Then night sweats alternating with chills and no ability whatsoever to regulate temperature.

Nightmarish.

Hmmm. I've been recently treating with Zhang's Art, and although I always seem to get mild sweats, now I'm alternating with heavier sweating and chills.

My ECP was 19. Not very high as babs goes, but who knows? My illness began with drenching sweats and prolonged high fevers.

I have WA-1 and didn't have night sweats until I started treating babs.

With treatment, sweats were nightly for a couple of weeks and then only occasionally. Sweats are finally gone, but I am still on babs treatment.

I had drenching sweats prior to babesia treatment. My daughters got better with treatment.

My only positive test is for Babs Duncani. I had night sweats years before I had a clue something was really wrong with me.

My gyn ran tests for menopause, but that was before I was near it. He was the only doctor who believed there was something physically wrong with me.

I tested positive for duncani and had mild night sweats. I would not call them drenching. The POTS symptoms were quite intense.

Very bad headaches in the back of the head/neck area.

Balance issues and chest pressure along with shortness of breath.

All of the symptoms improved with treatment. It just took forever.
