At first I thought the bumps on the top of my head were insect bites but the number kept increasing. They itch. I used to have what I think were nematodes crawling around under my scalp but that hasn't been the case for a couple of years.

I started taking The Core supplements a little before the bumps showed up a week or two ago. I have been feeling a lot better since taking the supplements so I believe they are working but why the bumps? What are they?

Also, I have been off antibiotics for a few months but am not over LD. I'm just feeling so much better that I'm not inclined to go back on right now.

I get bumps for two reasons. One is when I use a shampoo that has something in it that I am allergic to or intolerant of. I can use a certain shampoo for months then all of a sudden they change the formula and I break out. The other reason is when I go off my gluten free diet.

I haven't noticed them to be related to my Lyme, at least not directly. But I also felt like I had crawling bugs in my hair and I found out that my liver enzymes were in the 700s! Once the count came down, the crawling sensation went away.

I also take the Core but the thing about them is that they have everything all together in the pills so if you are allergic to one ingredient you can have a reaction and not know which one it is. Maybe you can take the supplements separately and see if you can pinpoint the culprit?

It's definitely not the shampoo because I've been using the same type of Jason shampoo for several years.

It used to be that when I put my finger on a small bump on my head, what I assume was the nematode would scamper away and the bump would flatten. I used to hit my head with open hand trying to kill them. Of course I am wondering whether nematode larvae are in my scalp and if so how to kill them.

I have had the same bumps come out and push thru my scalp when I did/do salt/c and antiparasitic herbs.

They were definitely parasites, larva and eggs. Salt/c and antiparasitic herbs have been the key for me in getting well. I wouldn't let this go as they will just increase in population.

Look into antiparasitics. Pharma or herbs. You probably have them in your G.I. track as well.

I don't know if this is related, but when my husband had a shingles outbreak a couple of years ago, it appeared as bumps on his head.

If it is shingles (and again, just offering this as one of many possibilities), you want to catch it early and start an antiviral. Valtrex is a prescription med. Some have had success with L-Lysine.

I've never had chicken pox or any sign of shingles so I doubt that is a factor.

I'm thinking leftover larvae from several years before. Maybe the antibiotics kept them at bay and now I am off antibiotics for the first time for any significant time. I put some essential oils on my head today so I'll see how that works out.

Odd that the bumps are coinciding with taking The Core. I'm feeling a lot better, have more energy - and now the bugs come out. Perhaps my system is pushing them out to be dealt with.

From a different perspective:
Sounds like a detox issue.

You started the Core- did you increase binders or detox?

By the way, I'm a full on parasite believer/ see this as a large issue,
But this is striking me as a detox.

I got a nodule on neck, sometimes head, up binders to 2x a day, see it help.

In fact, I think the bumps did get worse when I forgot to take the green clay. I'll take care of that. At least I'm not feeling anything crawling around my scalp so maybe more detox than nematodes.

what are the core supplements?

I have lumps at the crown of my head and sometimes have a crawling feeling, sometimes pressure or headache, usually just an odd sensation.

At one time I had a RMSF rash there so I have always related this infection to my scalp issue.

I personally believe when this scalp issue is gone I will be well(meaning all of my brain issues etc.). I was going to get on the anti-parasitic protocol, but I now have tinnitus and I'm afraid to take more meds.

Please let me know what works for you.

Do you still have the crawling feeling?

Please let me know what

I no longer have crawling sensation. That was one of the most demoralizing of my symptoms.

The CORE is vitamins and minerals. http://stores.homestead.com/BiopureHealingProducts/Categories.bok

It is part of a protocol by Dr. K and involves treating KPU, also called HPU. You can do a search on this forum for more information. He says most people with lyme have KPU. There is a test but I just went ahead and got the supplements which are used to treat it.

The crawling under my scalp was taken care of with antibiotics fairly early on but I'm not sure which antibiotic(s) did the job. I was very neurologically challenged at the time. What I'm assuming are the nematodes were gotten rid of much more easily than the babesia or bartonella.
