I have tried three different sources for Allergy

Research (or Nutricology Brand) Artemisinin to no

avail....

Is there a shortage? Can anyone recommend a

comparable brand? I have done a search here...

Thanks much.

Hi, Four,
I got my Artemisinin (by Nutricology Research Group) from 1stchineseherbs.com

Just got some in the past few days, so I know it's in stock.

Thanks Lymetoo for moving... wasn't sure where this question went [Wink]

Yes, VitaCost has Doctors' Brand... was trying for the Nutricology or Allergy Research but may have to order it instead...

I agree there appears to be a shortage. I was looking at this over the weekend.

HerbsPro and VitaCost are both out of the 90 and 300 capsule bottles and do not know when it will be back in stock. HerbsPro had had it on backorder, but have refunded my money.

But both have the newer formula from Nutricology called Super Artemisinin which is basically the same thing. HerbsPro also has Phyto Artemisinin which has added plant fats. Not sure how long these products will remain in stock if there really is a shortage.

Here is a new post from Buhner. I pretty much agree with him that art alone will not work. Hubby is going to continue the art with the sida acuta plus his babs meds -- lariam, doxy, malarone and ivermectin. And I will probably add in some cryptolepis as well. After a year hubby is having to get creative and pull out all the stops for babesia.

A couple of other possibilities would be the Zhang brand of art. Or some of the products from www.hepalin.com Hubby likes the artemix gel rubbed on the bottom of his feet -- but it is somewhat messy. May try that in capsules soon -- it is a combo of artemisinin, artesunate and a 3rd form of art.

Cryptolepis is getting a little hard to come by, too. You might try woodlandessence.com

Thanks for the heads-up Bea, re: Buhner's contention that the artemisinin does not work well on its own.

I too have had found that everyone is out of the Allergy Research brand; I wonder why that is???

I think that I am going to contact my vendor, see if they have an update on when it will be available, and if I get an answer, then post it here.

Artemisinin is 8x more effetive if it is in liposomal form. In this form it gets to the places it needs to go. Liver, for one. It also has to be taken combined with some grapefruit juice. the juice prevents the destruction of an enzyme that is needed for utilization of the artemesinin. Per Dr. K.'s longterm protocol. Babesia is a two-year program for most people. Also per statements by Dr. K.

Take care.

Take care

I just thought it might be good to add the art to

my Bab's mix. I hadn't caught the Buhner link, so thank you for that input (I do follow his site)

I was able to stock up on Cryptolepis so will just continue to add that slowly.

I believe many people are using Artemisinin for cancer and other health issues..

Just a note.. Woodland Essence is out of Sida Acuta until January 20th...so maybe others are switching over to it.

Hello all:

I heard back from my vendor today, and she told me that the Allergy Research Group version of artemisinin is being "held-up at the border" right now. She couldn't give me a time frame. :-(

I guess that I will try the one that you have recommended, Bea. Thank you for that input! :-)
