GABA I've taken is Metabolic Maintenance GABA-750 (I buy it from my doctor).

Yeah, it helped a lot with anxiety and sleep quality. I had to take a break from it (I guess it built up and then I started getting strange sensations in my head when I'd take it), but I plan to take it again after a while.

Technically, this is very good. It just seemed to be one thing that I could not handle. It had the opposite effect on my body for some reason and my startle triggers seemed more intense.

Magnesium worked better for me to achieve the desired effects. Magnesium calms down the over excited NMDA receptors so that what GABA we do have is not so clobbered.

If you decide to try GABA, I just suggest starting at a very low dose. Increase only gradually but there is nothing wrong with staying at a low dose if it seems to be the right place.

For most, this is very calming. Best to try of an evening when you have no morning engagements - just to see how you do with it.

I just started using GABA about 6 weeks ago.

At first it really helped with anxiety and helped me to relax.

Now it still works, but I find that it's not as potent as when I first started. I assume that my body has gotten accustomed to it now.

I use PharmaGaba by Designs For Health.

Has anyone noticed if GABA works better with certain other stuff added (B6 & also taurine, niacin and inositol), vs. straight GABA? I haven't tried the straight GABA yet (wondering if it's better).

I use pharma GABA by Thorne. I also take taurine, b, magnesium for supplements before bed.
