I just found out the newly installed water softener might be causing some of the digestion problems i have been having. The symptoms started after it was installed which was weeks before the virus hit with vomiting etc.

I thought I had things figured out but today I feel very tired and dizzy and I have been running a fever about three degrees above my normal.

Is this babesia? If I have H Pylori, could I have a fever? My digestion is actually better. Is it possible my immune system is so messed up that I would have a virus for weeks that normally goes away in days? I am very confused about this.

Is this a whole house water softener? Can you drink bottled water in the meanwhile?

Anything is possible in our world. This is the time of year everyone gets the stomach flu, so on top of everything else, you had this.

Fevers are indicative of an infection. It could also be a herx. Tired and dizzy can also be from dehydration if you've been sick. Possibly low in salt and/or potassium. Too low potassium is bad for your heart. Drink some Smart Water from a bottle and eat a banana. If you don't get some relief, get to a doctor.

Do you have a blood pressure cuff at home?

Don't mess with this too long trying to figure it out. If you're still sick, get to a doctor.

Take care.

Did I mention that you should see a doctor? [Razz]

Gosh, manybites, that is awful. I hope nefferdun doesn't have babs coming back. Ugh.

I think you are right manybites. Babesia has been coming back for months. I was doing well the end of summer but I get more and more symptoms.

I was off the meds for ten days when I was sick so babesia had time to catch up with me. Before that I was not taking as much medication as I probably needed.

Now I am back on more meds than I have taken in a long time: Doxy, malarone and just started tindamax yesterday. I can get some Coartem to pulse to see if that helps. But if it is a herx -Can a herx really cause a fever? I don't think I have had fevers before.

I have headaches, dizziness and extreme fatigue but that could be a virus too. I have an appointment with an LLMD for the end of the month.

I have no trust in regular doctors any more. I am afraid to see one if it possibly relates to lyme disease. Last time I saw one, when I basically had indigestion from Mepron, I was told I was in heart failure and forced to stay in the hospital overnight!

I am going to drink bottled water just to be safe about the water softener salts. Maybe it is just because it is the middle of winter and I can't get through this time of year without relapsing.

How do we keep doing this!

I just read tindamax can cause a fever. It is one of the serious side effects. It also causes dizziness and headaches.

I could not take flagyl because of side effects. I will quit the tindamax to see what happens.

Read my Brucella post. I'm not sure this is Babs, but I'm not sure it isn't, either. Grrrrrrr......

That is terrible manybites. I am very fearful of doctors these days. I will look for your post Boxer.
