oh my - my heart goes out to you!! I have been up and down the roller coaster of herxing on rocephin and tindamax!

Actually, it's been my experience that it gets better on the rocephin, but the tindamax is the tough one.

The urso does nothing to help you in the short term, I'm sure you know that it's just to hopefully help prevent gallstone formation from the rocephin.

It's good you're on good probiotics, very necessary. But as far as the pain, fatigue, and gi symptoms, it really sounds like a herx - I can tell you what I do, but I hope you get a lot of other responses, because what helps one person, may not work as well for another.

Rest, rest, rest - drink plenty of water, using lemon in it is good. I drink lots of herbal tea, I've found that the only thing that really helps my tummy is a good quality peppermint tea. Better than any OTC med that I've tried.

Also, diet - a lot of people discover they develop food intolerances while dealing with TBD - especially gluten - you could try simplifying your diet, whole foods, no processed stuff, sugar, etc.

Some people like heat - baths or saunas, me personally, I don't tolerate it very well, but it's something to consider.

I take Tylenol or Motrin for the achiness and pain, although with your gi symptoms, probably should stay away from Motrin.

By the way - what doses are you on? Do you take the Tindamax every day?

Sorry, you're having a rough time, I can totally empathize!

Oh, sorry, just saw you don't do pills - forget the Tylenol and Motrin part.

Maybe someone out there knows about a more natural way to relieve that symptom, I sure would be interested in that.

How about trying Alka-Seltzer Gold.

It's only sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarboate and a little citric acid.

I've been on IV Rocephin and Zith since just before xmas. After my first week I had a lot of flue like symptoms and felt like crap. I took someones advice and tried the Alka-S and my
"Flu" symptoms went 80% away within 8 hrs.

It's worth a try.

Sbh,

Make sure he gets the "Gold". The other versions will contain asprin. I know that CVS does carry the "Gold". Others in htis conferece have found the Gold harder to find in their local stores.

good luck

I buy Gold in bulk from Amazon. It is cheaper that way. Rite Aid will order it for us at our nearby stor if needed.

We all herxed badly on tindamax and we only did it two days a week. Now it is no problem.

My son did 10 months of IV rocephin and went from bedbound to back to school.

Keep the faith you will get better and hang in there.

There are detox powders you could take. I take Detox 360 from Researched Nutritionals. Also take a detoxilean from Swanson's. Take alpha lipoic acid every day and NAC.

Can you do more of a pulse with tindamax with docs permission for a while to get a break?

Good luck,

I am on the same combo and what helps me is:
lemon water - lots of it

probotics

I'm trying gluten free and it does help

Just this week I started peppermint green tea - love it

clorella

I agree that tindamax is working so we're herxing

I love Alka seltzer Gold, I find it really helps. I too order it from Amazon.

I just started tryiing Burbur drops. Too soon to tell though.
