I wish I could have seen the look on my face. Why? Because since Jan 1986 is when I had my first one. Let me tell you this, it can be very frightening. I had them 5 out of 7 nights a week. Through 2002/03.

It's not something you can get rid of. And yes it can be scary especially if your alone. It can feel like it lasts for minutes. But actually 30 seconds is plenty long enuf. Mine always happen as I'm falling asleep. I'm drifting off to sleep my brain wakes up and my is paralyzed.

My first response is to yell for help. Which is impossible because my brain tries as a defense and my mouth will not work nor will my voice!!! I try to yell help me help me. And the "words sound like hepppppppppp meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
But they arent words at all. And I try to my body and can't.

Last night they're back. Right out of nowhere. And it happens 3-4-5 times before I finally do sleep without my brain waking up. So this morning I'm just verbally very ****ed off. Which is very unlike me. It's like I'm just ****ed off because it happened after years of not having them.

Some sick jerks believe it's evil. Ya right that's all Bull S'Poop.
Although my muscles are very jittery and walking is like I have no control. I've been awake for 4 hours and my muscles and nerves are just now settling down.

My objective for this post is simply a record of it's return. I'm not scared. I'm ****ed off. You know as if I needed something else to Go awry. I'm not looking for answers because I already know them. And I'm certainly NOT wanting a pill or drugs. Because there isn't one and even if there was? I'm not going to be a test tube experiment.

This info is here for those who have experienced it. Sleep Paralysis happens at falling asleep or waking up in the morning. And Lymenet has saved my butt hundreds of times over the last 11 Years. So if you have these your in my prayers.

Love and Laughter is still the best. Lyme is never funny. Especially because the youngest one who died was 6 Minutes Old. This is why I'm very angry when Drs simply refer you to a Psych Dr. I've no comment.

There's too many children being overlooked as behavioral problems. REALLY? I'm very broken hearted because of all the children and even parents that are misdiagnosed. Just like me. Ive had Lyme over 51 years. Diagnosed finally when I was 44. Yes I was 44 years old which explains why my life has been spent $$$$$$ in Drs offices.

I now have a T-shirt that says "Your I.Q. Test came back Negative...

Well I'm finished [rant] ing [Big Grin] yes I do feel some relief.

I've never heard that explained and I didn't know there was a connection of that to lyme. I have had that soooo many times. I thought it was just me and all the nightmares I have.

Occasionally, I do yell out and it scares the cra* out of my spouse.

I haven't had any for a while, knock on wood, so they do go away.

And, yes, I've had lyme for a long, long time.

It's not related to Lyme, I'm surprised it returned. And there are others here over the years who have experienced. And others have had this and are looking for answers.

My objective is for many of us have other problems not always Lyme induced.

What do you say when you yell??? And for how long? [Eek!] [Eek!] that would scare someone.

Mine have been gone for at least 8 years. And it caught me off guard.

I usually yell "help" or at least I'm trying to. In the dream I'm trying to yell but the words just don't come out.

When they do, and I don't even know they do, that is when it is out loud and wakes up the hubby. He then wakes me up and tells me I'm dreaming.

If I'm by myself, say naptime, I will wake up totally freaked out. It's an exhausting sleep, that is for sure.

Wow that was exactly what happened to me in 2004-2007 and had all the symptoms.Me to I would feel like I was in a coma and trying hard to move hands and legs and No way I could scream help ME .Deep every cell of my body was trying to scream HELP and I could not move my lips and my mouth at all.It is scary .
It seems that is under the controll of treatment but knowing I have a resistance babesia I am afraid it will happen again.I was though once in remission and symtoms came back after the car accident.May god help everyone that has been left undiagnosed for decades and not treated in time.
My QXCI test showed RIcketsia as the primary infection more than lyme and babesia. So it could be a ricketsia .I still feel some numbness that is comming back in spite of all treatment even with BIONIC .ONLY when in bionic for the first 2 weeks in germany I FELT the RELEIF in my face and the redness GONE.I know ricketsia is hard to kill and the OZONE treatment helped and cleared my brain .But was short lasted as babesia exsploded.
But now that I am in treatment FULLY for babesia it is comming slightly and the only thing that I have not taken for very long since i was in GERMANY is DOXY that reduces ricketsia.
My LLMD also said to me that I might have a ricketsia strain and I do beilive it is very very old back to 35 years ago when I was hospitalized as a kid.
Try a short round of Doxy and see if it reduces the symtoms and at least do not blame just lyme.

I am telling this as I DID 2 1/2 years of antibiotics and did the BIONIC treatment of lyme and I am not reacting much on bartonella treatment or I have been already in high dosages of babesia but DOXY does not cover just lyme and IT COULD BE RICKETSIA .It is very easy to catch or comes back .Take a 2 weeks of treatment and see what happens.I am not ignoring lyme as it could be but Doxy works on Ricketsia as well.

My QXCI test was done prior to my treatment with bionic and I was already in MINOcycline but still showed as number 1 infection in my body. That is just my case and it could be a way of seeing it diferently.

Troutscout had the same thing years ago. It is gone now... definitely can be from Lyme.

Annie.. I don't remember.....Do you have a Rife machine?

It can be related to Lyme/parasites etc

Look into ammonia levels. High levels in the brain can cause sleep paralysis.

I went through this with a parasite cleanse and when I added GLUTAMINE to my regime.

Ditto Jackie: I have it while I'm asleep, but it's almost like a lucid dream -- which is when you would swear that you are wide awake, but you are not.

It is very scary, and indeed seems to go hand in hand with the nightmares --

Happened to me when the infections were getting out of hand, but also when I'm in the middle of treating and the little monsters aren't too happy about it!

It does seem to go away after time, but when treating another infection for the first time, can also seem to cycle back.
