Since magnesium is a binder, I have been taking it with my other binders: welchol and chlorella.

What are some opinions on this? I am wondering if I should separate the magnesium from the other binders....

Thanks!

I don't consider magnesiium a binder. It is a mineral. Treat it like you treat vitamin and mineral supplements. (Most vitamins include the necessary minerals.)

If you take it with a binder, it will get taken out of the body with the binder. You don't want that.

Anything you take with the binder will just be transported out of your body with the binder. It will not get absorbed by the body.

Magnesium is a mineral that has laxative properties. That is good when you are taking binders that constipate. Mag is also necessary to prevent muscle cramps and to help the nerves. So, you don't want your mag to be sucked out of your body by your binders.
