Been on Doxy, Ceftin, and Flagyl(though I've stopped that one for now) for 5 months. Noticed a big step in the right direction right off, but seem to have hit a plateau. Stopped the abx for 4 days this week and felt great for 2 days. Then my head zaps and shooting nerve pain hit me hard on the 3rd day. Started them back and the pain hasn't been nearly as bad. So is this a sign I need to stay on abx, or could those particular symptoms be some sort of detoxing or yeast?
Anyone been through this? Is coming off abx supposed to be hard?

Sorry to hear you are getting pain when stopping antibiotics. There is no way I can tell if it is caused by whatever. Sorry!
My theory is though, and I am not a doctor, if it feels good, do it. Therefore, if it doesn't feel good, don't.
Not much science to back that up, but when undecided, it seems to work for me. Hope you get better answers.

If you are done with treatment (meaning proper meds for proper infection(s) for the proper length of time), coming off abx is not hard.
If you still have something untreated or undertreated, and your health boomerangs right away after stopping abx for 4 days, I think you have your answer. I'm no expert, but Head zaps and nerve pain are not typical yeast symptoms.

Why did you stop your antibiotics? You are supposed to treat your diseases until you are symptom-free. Then, you continue treating 2 more months to be sure all germs are dead.
That is the Burrascano protocol anyway.
This way, when you stop antibiotics, you are perfectly normal. That's what happened with me. I have been symptom-free now for 7 years.
