It came highly recommended from 2 of my friends who are highly educated in alternative medicine and I started taking it last week and we'll see!

I have heard good feedback from some as well. It looks like a knock-off of Xymogen's Nrf2 Activator, as similar but not identical ingredients, and seems to be targeting the same thing. A little hyped but probably a decent product anyway.

Whatever the reason, I energy test good, off and on, for the Xymogen product. But the Protandim has so far always tested as not for me.

I used it for about 5 months and it made zero difference in how I felt. I couldn't justify the cost after 5 months.

But everyone is different.

The person I know who has been using it for a while said that he has never felt better and it has affected his mental state also. I figured I might as well give it a try...

I went to the NY opthal. you mention, really liked her, but ultimately I was turned off by how strongly she pushes these supplements. I was spending over $2500/yr just on HER supplements. I stopped. If you look at the Protandim ingredients, you will see curcumin and Co-Q10 and a few other things. I think curcumin is good, but you can buy it online alot cheaper.

Beware anyone who tries to get you to sign-up for automatic monthly delivery via credit card. Just try and get that STOPPED and it's a HUGE hassle.

Just a general comment on getting the ingredients of things separately. I think this can work sometimes, but not always. Like I said, I do not use Protandim, but I do use Nrf2 Activator, which is similar in intent and has some similar ingredients (but not all) to Protandim.

Nrf2 Activator has 5 ingredients, and at certain points in time, I have energy tested each of the separate ingredients in different products and tested that they would be not helpful. Some of these were even products that I had used in the past and had energy tested as very good for me. But, at that time, I also energy tested that Nrf2 Activator was good and helpful for me, and it did help. So, I do believe the combination of ingredients can matter. Please do not think you can always get the benefits of a formula by just taking a couple of the ingredients. You might in some cases, but not always.

"I have energy tested each of the separate ingredients in different products and tested that they would be not helpful."

Many times I have energy tested poorly for certain supplements that I took anyway and I felt better from them.

For some energy testing is a fact a certainty, but in reality it is merely a tool that has some use for some people at some times with some products.
