My grandsons are taking antibiotics for an ear infection and mild pneumonia.

They are not on Abx all the time. Any recomendations for a good probiotic for 5 yr old and 8 yr old children?

I am going to our Natural Store tomorrow to see what they have.

Jarrow makes a children's chewable that looks to be excellent quality. I have not tasted it so I cannot comment on that part...

My daughter loves yum-yum dophilus! It can only help if they will actually take it so it helps that she likes it.

Culturelle makes a kids' version, too. And any caps can be opened and sprinkled on applesauce or put into cool drinks.

Our pedi says any adult probiotic is even ok for infants (open cap and pour into bottle) so you don't have to buy kids' versions.

Adult Florastor is not for kids.

I open the capsule up and sprinkle it into some vitamin C "pudding" and my kid eats it first thing in the morning. The pudding tastes horrendous. I can imagine you can add probiotics to anything as long as it's not hot.
