I am thinking of going there to get my Horner's and sinus issues evaluated as I feel they are connected. Has anyone here been there and if so can you please let me know how it went? Thanks!

Well. I know its a great place to go for surgery etc. It has a really great reputation

Although I went for an appt to see an EARS NOSE AND THROAT doctor there a few years ago because of my TMJ issues (didnt know it was TMJ then. just EAR PAIN!) and the doctor was SO SO RUDE TO ME. He mocked me and was a jerk!

But you know. thats just one person. In terms of doing surgery they are VERY reputable!! I'd say go for it!

Thank you so much for giving me that info. I am so tired of being mocked by jerk doctors. That's what I was hoping not to hear about this place but like you said it's only one person. I'm planning on seeing the female neuro-ophthalmologist there. It wasn't that one was it?

I went there and for something in my throat. I also told the doc how I was hypersensitive to chemicals, etc, and ended up in the hospital a few mos prior, and that the hospital thought I just had GERD.

When the doc saw my throat, all she said was: "I've seen this before." That's it, nothing more. I tried to find out what it was she "saw before" and she just said that in the future I may want to see a rheumatologist, endocrinologist, gastroenterologist, blah, blah, blah. She probably knew it was lyme, but was afraid to say anything.

I also asked her about the swollen glands on the sides of my neck. She wasn't sure what they were. She thought maybe they were swollen salivary glands. HELLO? Thought she was doctor.

Unfortunately, Boston area is Steere country (Under Our Skin). Good luck.

VERY DISAPPOINTING experience! NOT Lyme literate and aloof MD opened a mouth to both me and my LLMD for dare asking to use their Hyperbaric O2 chamber for my IV treatment.

This is perplexing given their facial nerve center purports to focus on Lyme as a cause for Bells Palsy, and The Boston Lyme Disease Support Group meets @Mass. Eye and Ear. Oh well, hope for change....

Re: Sinuses and other ENT issues, that's a place to get an opinion.

I have either Adie Pupil or Horner's along with Migraine with Aura and chronic sinus issues. Don't know if they could help me or not but am thinking I won't go now. Not gonna drive all the way to Boston for abuse.

I drove to Boston to see a supposed POTS specialist and he was useless.

Tickled, I'll PM you a name of an ENT/surgeon my husband went to at brigham and women's that he liked so much he is going back to him 8 years later.

What is Horner's?

Thanks Kudzu! Does your husband have Lyme? Is the ENT a neuro-ENT?

I always mix up Horner's and Adie but basicly one eye is more bulgey and pupil is more dilated in one of them and the other one pupil is more constricted than the other. There is also a syndrome associated with them-Horner's Syndrome and Holmes-Adie syndrome. Google them.
