I'm not sure what to do. i have lyme w/3 bands on my WB, now my husbands WB just has band 41 reactive.

Should he go to the LLMD? I do see things like almost every day he gets home and falls asleep on the couch, seems like he is flying off the handle and somewhat irrational.

3 years ago he had almost like a panic attack at work, flushed, lightheaded and weak. They kept him in the hosp. 3days and did a cardiac cath. Test came back fine.

He also says he is sleeping funny that's why his shoulder is hurting. Dry patches on his hand and arm always in the same place. They come and go.

Would love some advice!!!

Which lab did you use?

41 (Igenex) was all I had originally (more popped up after I went on abx).

He used Quest for testing.

quest doesn't test for all of the bands. i personally would not trust the results.

band 41 was the only thing that ever turned up positive on me...so far.

Exactly. Do not stop there. Find a dr willing to sign off on a test thru Igenex.

You need test #188 and 189 .. www.igenex.com

Could be the Fry bug FL1953

I had a tick, a bull's eye, and sickness started 3 days later.

I've been tested 3 times (Quest 2x and MDL 1x) and only ever had 41 positive.

I realized I've been infected long before I got "sick". Symptoms appeared during treatment that I'd had years ago.

I was energetically tested positive for lyme, babesia, ehrlichia, bartonella and EBV. This was the only test that was correct, that made sense to me.

What is a fry bug?

My daughter had only band 41 and another that was considered non lyme by Dr J in ct .But when we went to Germany and tested from Dr W we found lyme was there staying in her liver non active in the entire system.
My llmd had tested her with muscle testing as well and she had Fl1953 , Bart but not lyme in the brain for the moment ( so was non active lyme ).

I tested cdc pozitive from Igenex and had many bands but I had it fully active from head to toe and was muscle tested by an LLND that confirmed it before the IGENEX test , than muscle tested by my LLMD and than after 2 year and 1/2 in antibiotics I tested again pozitive in Germany from Dr W and treated.

I still have present of the bacteria ( yet -right after the car accident my joints start hurting slightly) .But the load was very low and other coinfections were making me sick .Babesia and Fl1953 that made me have halucinations ( every single symtom that has been included in the notes of the last conference from betterhealthguy.com) .

Does the "Fry Bug" also cross react with the band 41 kDa on the WB?

"Exactly. Do not stop there. Find a dr willing to sign off on a test thru Igenex."

Or, better yet, find a doc who will treat you based on symptoms! A good LLMD will rule out every other possible illness before treating you anyway!

I have had 3 Quest Western Blots and only 1 band showed. Doc told me to save my money on Igenex testing, since it's clear I have Lyme.

At the least band 41 shows exposure to a spirochete band (band 41 is reactive to the flagella.

Early on both in 1986 and 1988 Dr. Steere issued research papers indicating 41 is important in diagnosing lyme as one should be able to clinically rule out syphilis or weils based upon symptoms.

Q: What is the "Fry Bug"?

Google:

FL1953, Fry+Labs

& then:

Forsgren, FL1953

Thank you Keebler, but I have only one question. Is the "fry bug" cross reactive to band 41?

Addtionally about band 41 and keetes. The band is also cross reactive to other bacteria in which have fimbrae and pilli. And E coli when pathogenic, is flagellated as well.

Interestingly enough, I have tested positive for monocultures of pathogenic e coli. I had a western blot by Quest which also showed only one band years ago. Speaking with a leading Lyme specialist, he diagnosed me with Lyme long ago, and that is where my treatments have been centered.

Without an Igenix, and no way to pay for it by being sick all these years, I now question the 41 band being strictly indicative of keetes.

I had only band 41 positive on my IGenix test, and my babesia test was equivocal. I also had a major e-coli issue going on and I was highly skeptical of the lyme diagnosis. I have also tested positive for the Fry bug.

I remember hearing that there was a correlation with Fry's Protomyxozoa Rheumatica (Fry bug) showing only band 41 positive. Treatment for the Fry bug is similar to babesia, using anti-malarial drugs and biofilm-busting. I've significantly improved with treatment, so I know it was some type of parasite/protozoa.

Are you being treated by an LLMD, and have you been treated for babesia?

"Should he go to the LLMD? I do see things like almost every day he gets home and falls asleep on the couch, seems like he is flying off the handle and somewhat irrational."

Check below :
Symptoms of FL1953 are similar to Babesia. Symptoms include cold hands and feet, headache behind the eyes, scalp sores, sinus congestion, notable teeth pain, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, dry cough, abdominal pain, nausea, IBS, insomnia, sweats, bladder pain, muscle pain, twitching, profound fatigue, exercise intolerance, insomnia, brain fog, poor balance, anxiety, OCD, irritability, hypercoagulation.

Babesia can produce cherry angiomas, POTS, sweats, chills, shortness of breath, and irregular heart beat. There is a unique strain of Babesia on the Catalina island.
Cryptolepis, Artemisinin, Enula, Coptis, Zithromax, Mepron, Malarone, Quinines, Tinidazole, and Metronidazole can all be useful for Babesia.
Chlamydia leads to fatigue, arthritis, and respiratory problems. Dave Martz MD has suggested that Chlamydia is usually involved in ALS.
Mycoplasma can be extracellular or intracellular. It is pleomorphic. It likes mucous membranes. Leads to pneumonias and sinusitis and is found in lots of children. PCR can be done at Clongen or ViroLab. Macrolides, fluoroquinolones, tetracyclines, and sulfa drugs may be helpful.
Bartonella is found in 40% of cats and is now proven to be tickborne in dog studies by Dr. Ed Breitschwerdt. Bartonella is hemotropic and stealth. It invades red blood cells and the endothelium.
Older types of Bartonellas have a flagella; newer ones do not.
Red blood cells live three weeks on average. Bartonella can then go and infect 8 more red blood cells each time. 8 bacteria grow per cell.
Bartonella makes new blood vessels. They need heme which is why they go into RBCs.
Bartonella symptoms include twitchy, stabbing pains, nightmares, hallucinations, sleep disturbance, fatigue, dizziness, shortness of breath, muscle weakness, and red striae.
Headaches are generally the worst in Ehrlichia.
Q-Fever can cause heart valve issues and lead to rapid weight loss.
If antibiotics are too short and/or too low dose, this can lead to resistant organisms. This is not the case when the treatment is too long; only too short.
