Sorry for all of my posts lately.....

About a month ago I started to experience very short (2 seconds or so) dizzy spells and feeling as if the floor dropped out from below me.

I am getting them more often - recently saw the Dr - they can't find anything wrong.

The only thing that has changed is that I work in a new building now. Everything is wireless & lots of fluorescent lights.

Could EMF's be making me feel as if the ground is dropping out and dizzy?

If so, can anyone recommend a product that I can wear to help with this?

Thanks so much!

No I don't believe you can blame any (relatively) low-level *EMF fields* that newer ceiling light fixtures or WiFi-related devices generate for causing your 2-second dizzy spells.

I've worked around & with electricity for nearly 50 years now (& have relatives who are docs & nurses, so I have Some medical background) & don't believe such a cause/ effect relationship would exist. That's just my opinion.

However, if this truely started Only since you've moved into this new building where you work, I'm wondering if there is a POSSIBILITY it could still be environmentally-related...
that is, something in the air.. allergens, fumes... maybe your eyes are reacting to certain type lighting?

Do you sit at a computer.. at an "assembly line" of some kind?
Do the spells occur only after a certain period of time at your task(s)?
Are these dizzy spells happening more often, say, later in the day??

momintexas - I say yes.

Volkow et al, study (JAMA. 2011; 305(8):808-813. doi:10.1001/jama.2011.186), which demonstrated impacts of cell phone radiation exposure on brain glucose metabolism

Adamantia F. Fragopoulou (Greek Paper) "The evidence for disregulation of proteins in the brain from whole body exposure to RF/MW radiation, such as the radiation emitted by cell phones,

portable phones, wireless devices or ambient RF/MW from cell
towers, whether proteins are upregulated or downregulated, is of great concern for its impact on children's capacity to learn."

When considered together with other studies published by the University of Athens team (Fragopoulou et al., 2010) on spatial memory disorder, and Ntzouni et al, 2011 on recognition memory disorder, the authors say,

"This proteome study implies that mobile phone radiation exposure at a normal intensity (and even below ICNIRP's guidelines) is capable of detuning learning/memory function and possibly other brain impacts on society are unpredictable as

EMFs are not a drug that is delivered to specific body parts or functions. EMFs can attack through oxidative stress every single cell that receives enough energy at non-thermal levels.

Dr. Martin Blank, Associate Professor, Department of Physiology and Cellular Biophysics, Columbia University, and Past President of the Bioelectromagnetics Society, says,

"The paper by Goodman and Henderson (1987) showed that short-term (minutes) exposure to EMF will stimulate protein synthesis, and Fragopoulou et al. now show that this can lead to

important changes in brain composition and function. Such changes may account for symptoms like insomnia, nervousness, fatigue, headaches, etc.

that people report after exposure to cell phones and other wireless technologies. The biological verdict became obvious when Goodman and Blank (l994) showed that cells react to EMF as potentially harmful by activating the cellular stress response."

Thank you for your replies. [Smile]

Kete - I apologize, I should have been more clear when I said a "new" building. It's a new building to us, but it's not a new building. It's at least 15 years old.

I do sit at a computer all day. Everything is wireless too. In my old office, everything was hard wired, but since moving, we changed everything to wireless.

I never had this problem in my old office.

I'm going to open my blinds on Monday and try to work off of daylight and leave the overhead fluorescent lights off to see if that helps.

Back when I had all that kind of problem seriously, I used GiaWellness "Home Harmonizer" and pendant. I then discovered EarthCalm "Home Protection System" (similar to home harmonizer) and also their pendant, which comes with an extra thing to hang on it for additional help, or can be built in. I found the EarthCalm a bit better than the GiaWellness product for me.

You will see EarthCalm also has a WiFi thing you can add to wireless machines. I never used that so cannot comment on it.

There was a study once in chickens showing those that used EMF protection devices ultimately lived shorter lives and were more sick than those that did not. I haven't read the study, so I don't know what devices, and probably the once without the devices did more to avoid and spend their time in spaces with less exposure.

Regardless of how rigorous that study might have been (I don't know), I do think it is much better to avoid these things than use these devices. But, the world has practicalities, too, I know. Hopefully you'll get some good treatment and eventually not need this sort of thing, and also hopefully get rid of that wireless and fluorescent lights, yuck!

If everything went from wired to wireless, I'd consider that as a big possibility.

I dunno.
First time I've EVER heard of "2-second" dizzy spells where "the floor dropped out from below", so I can't diagnose with any certainty.

But I, and many I know, work at desks with WiFi laptops, cell phones & such, as well as flourescent ceiling lites, & no one I know- or have heard about before- seem to suffer from this momentary, sporadic malady you describe.

Yup... Try the daylight thing. Sounds good.
And get some good rest beforehand. (I know it's tough *this* weekend, what with the clocks "Springing Forward" an hour to Daylight Savings late Sat. night.)

Keep a careful of your symptom(s) & report back!

(Is any one else there having even similar issues?)

Didn't read all of the above, getting a headache from the computer. The EMFs bug me too.

We did get one of those wrist bands from the earthing website.

It goes around your wrist while sleeping or using the computer etc. It keeps me from feeling the EMFS as much.

There is also a pad you can put under your keyboard, sheets etc.

Just google earthing and wrist band; several sites will come up that sell this stuff.
