Well, after doing a Bicillin shot for the first time in a long while last night, I had a deer tick attach to me today -- I found the tick after reflexively knocking it off and am not really sure how long it was there -- it just left a pinhole bleed on my leg and then I found it right after, crawling up my wall. It did look slightly engorged but my priority was to flush it down the toilet as quickly as possible, so I didn't get a good look.
I know I'm somewhat covered with the Bicillin in my system and the fact that it likely wasn't attached for that long, but I still would prefer to take the prophylactic 200 mg dose of Doxy. Can I take it with the Bicillin? Do others do that?
I guess tick season is in full swing here in Massachusetts -- ugh! (I was clothed from head to toe, with pants tucked into socks, and only outside a few minutes)

What other drugs will affect Bicillin C-R 900/300 (benzathine penicillin and procaine penicillin)? Tell your doctor about all other medications you use, especially:
probenecid (Benemid);
a blood thinner such as warfarin (Coumadin);
methotrexate (Rheumatrex, Trexall); or
a tetracycline antibiotic, such as doxycycline (Adoxa, Doryx, Oracea, Vibramycin), minocycline (Dynacin, Minocin, Solodyn, Vectrin), or tetracycline (Brodspec, Panmycin, Sumycin, Tetracap).
"doxycycline ↔ penicillin Applies to: doxycycline, Bicillin L-A (penicillin)
GENERALLY AVOID: Tetracyclines may reduce the effect of penicillins by inhibiting cellular protein synthesis which is necessary for cell wall synthesis inhibition by penicillins. Antagonism is more likely when low doses of either agent are administered. Therapeutic failure may result.
MANAGEMENT: This combination should be avoided if possible."

Somebody mentioned dry ice surround by sticky paper ,inside house and fumes draw them to it ...they get stuck then you know
I would love a little more info on that ,,if I fell better soon ,I want to spend time away at cabin,...no emf's and see if anything changes

Thanks all -- I just way upped my herbs yesterday -- houttuynia for bart, cat's claw and knotweed, Nutramedix Quina -- and am going to keep doing that. I'm hoping since Bicillin was still in my system it would have stopped any spilling in my blood but argh, ticks are everywhere!
Yes, it's definitely possible the tick was already inside, though chances are he came in on me yesterday. Last year a nurse was here and we saw a tick in my house and she looked at the screens in my windows and told me ticks can go around the OUTSIDE of the screens because they are so flat!!! The horror.

MY LLMD had me on amoxy AND tetracycline for awhile. Though it isn't recommended in Dr. B's to combine a "cell wall" with a "cycline", it isn't contraindicated either.
But I would definitely check w/ your doc before youn "add" that "doxy". It might be better to use the doxycycline for a few weeks- by itself (at a strong "ILADS" level)- as it tends to concentrate in the skin & get that new infection knocked out.
And if yo DO add in the doxycycline, make SURE you're taking plenty of probiotics in between! (atlast 2 hrs away from the abx) Otherwise, you can have GI tract "issues" crop up.
