I want to focus on killing parasites right now and I am doing low dose salt c and raw garlic. I want to take it up a notch and try either parastroy or ivermectin.

I have heard so much about ivermectin and it's definitely something I want to try but I am scared of a horrible herx. I wonder if it wouldn't be better to start with herbs like parastroy, but at the same time it doesn't seem like I have heard as many good experiences with parastroy as I have ivermectin.

Any opinions or suggestions? I really wanna knock these buggers out. I have seen and felt evidence of their existence.

I have taken/take Parastroy and Hanna Kroeger Wormwood with very good results. The thing with the herbs is that they contain Wormwood, Black Walnut Hull and Cloves which kills the adults, eggs and larva.

Ivermectin doesn't kill the adults and is hard on the liver.

I have never seen any reports where people have reported seeing worms exit, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.

I have nothing against Ivermectin at all, but just prefer the herbs myself. You can also herx from the herbs.

arasites are difficult to kill. You can always try the herbs first and then move onto the Ivermectin if you so chose. Just my 2 cents. Gael

I'm curios gael, I have read on here a lot that it doesn't kill adults but it says on the package of the ivermectin I took that it kills worms and eggs.

Ivermectin
Ivermectin is a drug that kills many types of worms but is not effective against protozoa or flukes. It is also effective against scabies and lice. This drug binds to chloride channels in the parasite nervous system and muscles, causing paralysis and death.

I took 6 weeks of humaworm, a 3 day course mebendazole, and then tried Ivermectin (only 3 days, half dose) and I had a herx/reaction like I have never had in my life. It was pretty bad.

I'm feeling better now though, do I try it again? I am not ready but maybe I'll work up the nerve in a couple of weeks. I wonder if its worth taking if you can't tolerate a full dose?

I do believe I had parasites in my stool after the ivermectin so I am thinking they do hit parasites and eggs. I posted a link above as to how the medication works to kill parasites.

That is what I have read on www,lymephotos.com Could be wrong info. The herbs will kill the flukes as well as other parasites.

I guess that's why Dr. K. subscribes other antiparasitics to target other parasites. I am for whatever works and is easier on the system. Really doesn't matter to me as long as it gets the job done. [Smile]

thanks gael, just trying to gather as much info as I can. One can never be educated enough in the parasite department [Big Grin] , very important since I am not getting to much help as far as docs go.

This is not what I imagined for my life thats for sure. Thanks for all the time you spend helping navigate through all this

hope.

Your welcome. It's important to stick with antiparasitics until symptom free. Possibly do a maintenance dose with herbs after that.

Hulda Clark and other NDs recommed maintenance FOREVER in case there are any eggs leftover. You're wise to research the parasite issue. Just stick with it and you will get your life back.

Both are good. I have done both. For me, the Parastroy wasn't strong enough because I did see things that looked like roundworms in the toilet when I took the Ivermectin.

When I first started taking Parastroy - it was too strong. I had to ramp it up from 1 pill a day. It just takes time... If you have bugs, they don't go away over night. I think it's a good idea to continue doing parasite cleanses for life.

I do like the Dr. Y/Dr. K parasite rotation of drugs. I think it's a good general idea to do all of the drugs. I couldn't get the Alania but I'm not sure I need it. It is good to try different things in case the bugs build up a resistance or you have several types of bugs.

I don't think the drugs are very toxic to us taken in monitored amounts. Just breathing the air & drinking water can be toxic...

Just to add, Parastroy can be increased to 3 each para rid and para sweep 2 x a day after the 3rd week.

When I reached a plateau with that I added Hanna Kroeger Wormwood Combo, Digestive enzymes, extra cloves and HCL. A VERY strong combo for sure.

I opened the capsules, mixed them in applesauce and took this mix thru the day. I was also doing salt/c at high doses. The KEY is sticking with it.

Gael, I am only taking 1 gram of salt/c. At what dose do you think the salt/c kills parasites? Also, when doing the salt/c were you doing the full salt/c+ protocol? I have the e-book and was surprised to see the 75% veggies rule. This will take quite a bit of adjustment form if I can do it!

Sorry for so many questions, I appreciate your input.

gigi,

For me it was a combo of the herbs and salt/c. It took several mos before they let go, but when they did i had a mass exodus.

I started with 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp of C and ramped up according to how I was herxing. After mos of herbs and adding salt/c at low doses is when the parasites let go.

I eventually worked my way up to 20 gms in divided doses through the day. Drinking extra water.

I was also taking LOTS of Super Digestaway by Soloray and extra cloves. No, I didn't follow the 75% veggie rule.

It is a good idea to take digestive enzymes which are also antiparasitic when you eat. I added HCL as well. Everyone is different and it depends on the load of parasites you have.

Persistence is key. Just keep going and do the best you can with diet etc. It can take a while until the parasites let go.

Are you herxing on 1 gram?

"I don't think the drugs are very toxic to us taken in monitored amounts. Just breathing the air & drinking water can be toxic..."

Do you mean you shouldn't have a reaction to the drug/herb unless you are having die off? If you didn't have parasites you would feel fine if you took the drug/herb?

Still trying to figure out if my first experience on ivermectin was a herx or drug reaction.

I took it for 3 day, half dose and got hit hard on day 4. In bed for 3 days

Yes, from what I've read - the drugs are pretty mild to humans (or animals, I suppose). It's the die-off that makes people ill. In some cases the die-off can be life threatening from some anti-parasite drugs. It's not the drug, though - it's the parasites. I suppose some people could have an allergy to most anything but it's usually the parasites themselves.

Go slow & be careful. Take lots of binders if you feel toxic. Parasites are toxic, dead things in your colon. You have to flush them out quickly with plain water enemas if you feel toxic. They also release toxins into your system that can do who knows what... You don't want to be reabsorbing the toxins so it's good to get the stuff out quickly.

Gael, Yes it does feel like I am herxing on 1 gram of salt/c. I have done salt/c before for a short period of time and ramped up way too quick and had the worst herx ever. It was bad! So, I am going super slow. I figure I will get there someday.

Gael, I know it varies person to person but how long on salt/c until you noticed improvement? Is wobenzyme a digestive enzyme?

Posted by glm1111 (Member # 16556) on :

gigi,

Ramping up slow is key in being able to stick with it. The rule of thumb is to not increase the dose of salt/c until you stop herxing, and then increase maybe 1/4 tsp at a time.

I was infected for over 30 yrs, so improvement was gradual as I got rid of the parasites and rest of the infections ovwer several yrs.

The herbs played a big part also. You can visit lymestrategies for more insight. There is very good info on their links.

Wobenzyme is a digestive enzyme.

Gael
