Hello everybody, I recently added Cipro (500 mg twice/day) to my already hefty cocktail. Since then I have had some moderately uncomfortable heartburn.
I am definitely herxing harder. I am also having trouble staying asleep more than 6 hrs. A lot of "butterflies" and just anxiety in general. My neck/head area feels hot and feverish.
I have heard that Bart causes heartburn when it is dying in the gut, but I cannot for the life of me remember where I heard that. Is this true?
The last time I took Cipro for 5 months (about 1 year ago) I barely herxed at all, and after 2 months I was convinced the Bart was gone. Why would I herx so hard this time around? I was afraid the bacteria had become resistant. Guess not!

Bart for me
Hot flashes, insomnia, belching, anxiety.
When Bart dies, or is flaring bad, the toxins released are very acidic in nature and this the acid reflux (liver can't handle the acids fast enough)
Use ginger, alka seltzer gold + lemon.
I've also learned that when the liver is over-taxed, like in this case, you can get some mild air hunger or episodes of breathlessness. I believe those symptoms are liver-related.
