Ever since 2004 I've been lucid dreaming, astral projection, day dreaming and sleep paralysys.

Today, before falling asleep (I rarely sleep during the day) I had experienced Hypnagogia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypnagogic_hallucination - a rather common form of hallucination that also occurs even in healthy individuals, nevertheless it was quite disturbing.

First off I was hallucinating that it was night (when this happened at 2 PM all the way, and I suddenly jumped off my bed and realized that it's 2 PM and daylight out side. Well, then I went back to sleep and now it started all over again, this time I right before falling asleep I was hearing Christmas Carols, that seemingly came out of nowhere. (I suddenly woke up again since I didn't know what's happening to me). The sound of the Carols was so clear, to be frank I've never heard such beautiful carols in my entire life.

* The experience wasn't necessarily scary but definitely annoying.

I decided to go back in bed and try to nap for an hour. As I was falling asleep, right before the moment I would fall asleep, this hand came out of the wall next to my bed and it was grabbing and punching me and I couldn't move a muscle and/or do anything about it. (I actually was experiencing the pain from the punching and grabbing) I was shocked, this time I decided to stay awake and started to research on Wikipedia and several other psychology forums to see what's going on with me.

Seemingly, I was experiencing Hypnagogia.

This definitely has a strong connection with Lyme Disease or an undiagnosed neurological disorder.

Amy Tan had hallucinations as part of Lyme. Not entirely unusual.

It's me, I've shared the story on another forum and copied the whole lot of text from my post there.

I've had this sort of thing happen many time, especially the year I was bed-bound, before I even knew about lyme.

Be sure your liver support is good, drink water, get good nutrients - avoid ALL food additives - and

MAGNESIUM will help calm down that neuro-exicto-toxicity that is so very common with lyme.

Years back, right before falling asleep I was hearing my name screamed right in my ear (Loudly)

It was happening every single night...

I never had hallucinations while being concious, thank the Lord.

Sometimes I hear a doorbell or a phone ring... no ring there. It's usually something that wakes me up.

Dr. B (the psychiatrist from NJ) says that hallucinations, and especially "musical hallucinations" (like the Christmas carol) are very common in NEURO-LYME patients.

It's related to where the Bb is currently invading the brain.

Are you being treated by a LLMD?
I surely HOPE so!

i know this is off the topic of lyme disease, but the symptoms you describe sound like you are spiritualy open to the other side....this sounds more paranormal then lyme...if it is paranormal the way out is christ! he can stop the bad and make all good! if you havent formed a relationship with him then i suggest you do so!thats my take!

Lyme is not the devil's work. Neither are hallucinations of ANY kind, for any reason, with any diagnosis. It just seems like it.

Many people even in good health sometimes experience lucid dreaming, nightmares, hypnagogic hallucinations - even sleep paralysis.

"Astral projection" - if referring to that out-of-body sensation - is also very easily explained and certainly many with lyme do report feeling very out of sorts in all sorts of ways from the neurological and toxic involvement.

It can be dream states and wake states sort of all mixed up, too.

Those who have seizures (whether from lyme or otherwise) often report a sense of being out-of-body, even looking down on their own body during a seizure.

This has happened to me dozens of times.

At first, very scary but then I came to understand it and while seizures are always frightening, at least that floating part lost its shock - it's just part of the process and I can go with the flow.

Fortunately, I rarely have that intensity of seizure anymore but I've learned to just drop a lot of fear around what ever odd stuff happens to my body. I see it more like a science project.

Back to the other stuff - or really, ANY of this - while unsettling, nothing to be afraid of once the process is understood.

There are many nutrients that can help, too.

Still - even when notched up a level and startling - these kinds of uncomfortable experiences are absolutely typical with such a toxic infection that affects neuron firing and liver stress. Details:

Alex, how are you feeling otherwise??

Is this natural protocol helping?/

Do you have many other symptoms?

OK , Keebler, TuTu,,they've experienced varriations of this..
.My brother also did...He was not treated .

Didn't know what was going on at that time.

With either of us, but I was self treating ABX through doctors but unknown cause.

I don't know how to say this.....untreated ,to that extent, he is no longer with us.

That said ,your treatment might be great... I'm just asking to make sure your not throwing honey at it....are you by any chance drinking/smoking?

Your business of course but that was a issue with brother, we just didn't know.....what fed what....

This also might well be why I ask so many questions ,,,Am I doing it right, what goes together.. what to expect ,how and when..

I could just measure his decent by what and how he was saying ...

.I was in another state.

Unable to do more to try and help, again , we did not know what the enemy was..

Keebler, along with Mag, don't you usually mention like fish oil/krill protecting nerves and brain?/

Lord I hope you have relief soon .
What comments did you get that helped >>

Others will benefit by this post [hi]

Nonna, yes, I usually also mention FISH or KRILL OIL as essential. Some like OmegaBrite.

Good to mention that. It is cover by Terry Wahls' work.

I'm always glad when others mention other things as I never want any post of mine to be interpreted as a complete suggestion kit. But that's also why some of the links I post have that detail.

Search: Terry Wahls, MD (not a LLMD but one who speaks to myelin sheath and mitochondrial support - and she overcame MS so that's very encouraging).

You say: "~ Currently on natural protocol."

Be absolutely certain that your herbalist (or whomever is treating you) is ILADS "educated"

I just saw that you are on a lyme website, so, if the current professional treating you has not fully explained the symptoms you describe above, my guess is that they are not really lyme literate at all, or not enough.

You should well know by now that what you are going through is very common with lyme. I wish your doctor would have told you so to lighten your fears.

I also see that website says lumbar puncture (spinal tap) is one way to test for lyme.

It is NOT. Not a reliable test and many false negatives. But if you have a positive then you know that's true. However, it is unnecessary to go through that pain and expense for a test that can miss detection of lyme.

There are ILADS doctors in Europe. And some who are naturopathic minded, as well.

Diagnosing Lyme Disease (&/or whatever else is going on)

Other tick-borne infections and other chronic stealth infections - as well as certain conditions - that can hold us back are discussed here.

(What ILADS is) . . . WHY you need an ILADS-educated, Lyme Literate Doctor - starting with assessment / evaluation.

==================

For any "natural protocol" -

It's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL (lyme literate) doctor who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -

- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present.

Many will still incorporate antibiotics or work alongside other doctors who do.

How to find an ILADS-educated LL:

N.D. (Naturopathic Doctor);

L.Ac. (Acupuncturist);

D.Ay. (Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine);

D.O.M. (Doctor of Oriental Medicine);

Integrative / Holistic M.D., etc. (Be aware that those in this category can have various levels of formal herbal &/or nutritional education, perhaps even just a short course. Do ask first.)

Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:

Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;

knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.

You can compare and contrast many approaches.

BASIC HERBAL EDUCATIONAL & SAFETY links,

BODY WORK links with safety tailored to lyme patients,

LOW HEAT INFRARED SAUNA detail,

BIONIC 880 (& PE-1) links, and

RIFE links.

The link you post in your profile will not scroll down. I was trying to find out more about your case but unable to see the full page.
