I'm pretty new to Lyme's disease. Still in the process of being officially diagnosed, although pretty certain Lymes is my problem. Just found out I have severe pancreatic enzyme deficiency, and wonder if that could be related to Lymes? My labs also show renal disease, not sure I that could be related?
Thanks?
J

Absolutely can be related. Please find a LLMD who is ILADS "educated" - which will have to be out of your state.

Oregon does have some ILADS-educated LL NDs. Be sure to contact SOLD, the southern Oregon lyme group listed in previous replies for you.

With pancreas involvement, assessment for Babesia is very important.

Also be sure to avoid ibuprofen as that can really stress kidney function (as it constricts blood vessels).

And acetaminophen prevents the liver from making and managing glutathione, and that's really important for those with lyme due to the toxicity.

Good luck finding truly ILADS educated doctors.

(PS.. it's Lyme and not lymes)

Thank you for the info! Feel fortunate to have found a LL ND in my area, and hopeful he can help.
