i take 10 mg of elavil at night to help me sleep. doesn't seem to do much.

i sleep maybe 3-4 hours and wake up more tired than when i went to bed. sort of like a mack truck ran over me. sometimes i have to lay down again about 10 and sleep for a couple of hours.

i always feel tired.

if i could just get some really good sleep i'd probably feel better.

there's no tv, no sounds, it's dark. mattress is new and comfortable.

i just can't get any good rest.

i hate taking meds for this as it just leaves me doped up.

melatonin drives me up the wall. most sleep meds either energize me, give me horrific nightmares, irregular heartbeats or something. i've tried ambien, lunesta, you name it.

geez, i'm tired.

I was hoping the humaworm would have helped your sleep too. Are you still seeing benefits from the humaworm?

hmm, don't think so. my muscles are tremendously sore but at least my feet are not burning near as bad and my eyelids have lifted.

i'm having quite a bit of lower abdominal pain on the left side. just annoying. regular bowel movements.

my head is not itching quite as much.

saw a bit of tomatoe like things and some other small things but nothing large.

am still getting the overall skin burning sensation when i take it tho.

Have you had your adrenal function and thyroid levels tested?
Posted by randibear (Member # 11290) on :

Which thyroid tests were done?

What kind of adrenal test: blood or saliva?

Have you tried Tryptophan (5-HTP) or GABA? GABA helps me way more than melatonin ever did.

How 'bout Lavender essential oil, valarian root extract, passionflower, or skullcap?

But Cipro helps me sleep the best. I think much of my sleep issues are from Bart.

blood test also cortisol tested ok. GABA made me super hyper.

It's like i said. Everything has the complete opposite effect of what it is supposed to do

Valerian drove me up the wall too

I'm in the same boat right now. Last night was the first night I got maybe 6 hours of sleep in the past few weeks. It took taking double my usual dosage of Klonopin and taking 50 mg of Trazodone that I haven't taken in a while.

My ND wants to run a 24-hour saliva adrenal panel as the blood tests aren't very accurate. My AM cortisol was "normal" but in the higher range and my DHEA was high. This was a blood test my LLMD ran.
