I recently stumbled upon some info that said turmeric may help with pain relief. Has anyone used this for muscle/nerve pain?

If so what type and how did you use it? In food, as a tea, etc?

capsule form. but it should be ramped up slow and used at a heavy dose once tolerated. and lead free.

I take Enhansa which has tumeric in it. Info can be found at leesilsby.com. It was mentioned at October's ILADS conference. I've been on it since then. My son started it this week and my nephew age 6, started last week.

I feel good, just not sure what all is making that happen.

My Mom's cognition improved taking a product by New Chapter called "Tumeric Force." Although I was giving her Cod Liver Oil too, coincidentally.

I'm not sure about the pain relief angle.

Yes! Enhansa is good stuff. Has really helped a great deal with headaches and inflammation.

With Enhansa is there herxing? I really can't afford any more pains than I already have.

I take turmeric in a capsule and also cook with it a lot. Not sure if it does anything for me or not...?

I also take the Turmeric Force.

I get bulk turmeric and put it in a small capsule. It takes down joint swelling for me.

Ellen, I have been told there can be so to start slow and work up.

I used to buy organic tumeric and put it in capsules myself, but then it was suggested by Dr to use a more medicinal grade so we switched to Enhansa.

I am also on enhansa. I started very, very slowly and didn't notice much herxing other than itching. For those of you who take enhansa, how many mg a day do you take? I take 4 capsules which equals 600 mg.

I buy in bulk like Robin and put in capsules. It seems to take the edge off the stiffness.

I am also back on fish oil and blood thinning herbs.

All the Best, MattH

I take "C3 Curcumin" (as recommended by my LLMD), it is a derivative of turmeric. There are lots of clinical studies that show the effectiveness of curcumin.

Things that most interest us: it helps reduce inflammation, can help prevent c.diff!!!, can also help fight babesia!!!

Pretty great spice. Take it as a capsule. You can't eat enough to get a high enough dose. I take 800mg twice daily.

I felt like I did have some increase in syptoms when starting Enhensa. I slowly started with one pill a day for a week and then 2 for a week. I am now up to full dose of 4 a day.

I would like to ask Lee Silsby if somehow I can take 2 at a time. I feel I need to take it with food so doing 4 a day has been difficult.

I asked the pharmacist at Lee Silsby what people are taking -- he said up to 1800mg a day for Lyme and co. This can get pretty expensive though.

If you make your own from bulk it is not too bad. Check out 1st Chinese Herbs. I get my capsules there also.

All the Best, MattH

Is there any info on 1st Chinese Herbs lead content?

It normally wouldn't matter except this is an herb that can be taken in high volume once tolerated..

I take two enhansa together in the morning and two more before bed.
